  1. Good bump Pola - Même [Plop] 2004 Almost SND in places, wicked album on Plop. Flatic – Nano/Youth [Plop] 2003 Nice mix of styles on this album, housey and glitchy vibes. Cuushe - Red Rocket Telepathy [Flau] 2009 Nice downtempo stuff. 34423 - Tough and Tender [Kaico] 2013 Quite a few albums from 34423, really like this one, last album is wicked too. Free single from album on Bandcamp: https://naturebliss.bandcamp.com/album/pa-free-download
  2. Liverpool & Man City duke it out for the title. Interested to see if Man Utd show signs of progress/improvement under ten Hag. Arsenal will have some clangers, but otherwise look good, but still not quite there/consistent. Kane will be asking why he didn't leave Tottenham at the end of this season.
  3. I think there's a product for stick-on-nipples to expressly achieve the "I'm not wearing a bra, and you can see my erect nips" look. Not just for dealing with post surgery issues.

  5. ^ me too, he did some great voice work and narration. Club Dumas gets a listen a few times each year. https://www.avclub.com/david-warner-on-twin-peaks-tron-titanic-time-bandits-1798265384
  6. R.I.P. David Warner as been in some of my favourite films, franchises and audiobooks. A fantastic voice and presence. He was always reliable as a villain (Tron & Time Bandit in particular) https://www.theguardian.com/film/2022/jul/25/veteran-british-actor-david-warner-star-of-the-omen-and-tron-dies-aged-80
  7. New album dropped on the 22nd, a companion to 2019's Solastalgia [Room40].
  8. So there are now two bad things. Attempt at recreating the ol' magic eh?
  9. Released today to coincide with his passing last year. Great electronic artist, and label curator
  10. Collaboration album coming September the 16th on Sacred Bones. I like Gloria de Oliveira solo stuff. Fascination from 2020 was a nice gothy-post-punky-dream-pop affair. Nice remix by Box and the Twins)
  11. A mumblecore adjacent film, about Andrew, a recent college leaver, that has feelings and starting his journey in life. He has a meaningful life experience with soon to be married mother (Dakota Johnson), and her autistic daughter (Vanessa Burghardt) from an earlier relationship. One of the worst films I've seen in a while. Vapid manipulative drivel. The good: Vanessa Burghardt as Lola, her first film. The bad: The script, the lead character...
  12. Nice. I have a soft spot for User Input & Overland Travelling.
  13. 2022 repress out now on clear or black vinyl. Awesome album of fuzzy lushness. UK: Sold out at Norman, copies in stock at Boomkat: https://boomkat.com/products/october-language
  14. Just finished ep7 of The Boys S3. Really impressed with this season, my favourite so far. While the violence can be a bit much for my tastes, there's some real moments of pathos amongst all the carnage. Diabolical.
  15. v.nice, purchased. Not familiar with Vid Vai, or the label. Vermillion was enough to raise interest, nice mix of styles as you say. Silver Linings was the decider.
  16. New Lawrence English album arriving this September on Room40. Love the label - there's lots of great stuff dropping the next few months - and his solo/collab work are always impressive (IMO)
  17. https://djmag.com/news/tresor-records-announces-drexciya-catalogue-special-edition-reissue No Abstract Thought. Anyone know why this is unlikely to happen?
  18. Yeah, that is a shame. I remember reading about the conflict around the comics - think that was detailed in the Drexciya thread - but not on FB, so missed that this has been continuing. Regardless of the drama, Matthew Angelo Harrison sounds like a good artist to get in for the reissue series https://www.frieze.com/article/matthew-angelo-harrisons-prototypes-new-life
  19. Reissue up on Bandcamp and the usual sites, scheduled for the 2nd of September this year.

  21. Totally missed this thread, lots of new stuff to check out, and nice to see some classic underrated albums (Sogar) Taylor Deupree New Taylor Deupree album released this month on Puremagnetik. Edit: Album download also contains instructions to download the plugin - Small Winters - that was used to make the album, and was created by Puremagnetik. Jeannine Schulz JS remains one of my best Bandcamp finds, in the insta buy category for me. Would like to see more exposure on some established labels, would totally fit on 12k (IMO). Kailash is the latest release, but worth checking out everything. Mirko Been listening to this a lot the past few weeks, fantastic cinematic and textural ambiences.
