    Was listening to "pedaling flowers" and "kneel and board" (and a few other bits on the playlist) - I'd be curious to hear them with the beats stripped out almost completely, like just as an experiment, could be interesting? So basically the opposite of what neglectedlove said ? (not to be deliberately confusing I promise) Actually the kind of "small" sounding, off-beat kinda beats in "mutated caves", I think leaves more space for the atmosphere of the other sounds to sink in, where on other tracks, the reverby louder breaks kinda overshadows the other sounds ... but I might be missing what you're going for, sorry if that's the case Same with "playground init" - it's got a nice vibe going but the regularity and reverb of the snare distracts from the strange melancholy flutey and squishy sounds that come in Look forward to hearing more stuff!

    ooh nice idea.. I wonder whether they'd have chemistry, I think the non-plastic approach would work better with Frusciante's 8-track type guitar stuff

    I'm very late to the party on this one but the Castlevania series is lush - perfect comedown/hangover watching, and the sound design/voice acting is gorgeous... the colours, the art style, especially the way it handles lighting and action/motion is fantastic, am halfway through 2nd season

    Something about the smoothness of the beats I suppose, also doesn't feel emotionally as frenetic as some Analord stuff for example. Listening to this rn, this is what I might call hardcore

    no I didn't see the paleolithic art one that looks amazing! I love that kind of thing, even more simple stuff like looking at eskimo spears gets my mind buzzing - did you ever listen to the History on Fire episode about the ice man? You might be into it

    ah i seen a couple of his at a group show at Saatchi - yeah I like it - something about the balanced thickness of the shapes is really pleasing and evocative somehow Yeah I went there too! The notes on the back were crazy - did you use the magnifying glasses? There was so much detail Did you check out the Tate exhibition? - it was great, the decimated landscape was so weirdly colourful
