    Excellent ambient album in the vein of BoC. Found this (and several other great albums) from Bandcamp's best ambient albums of the year list. Obay has a pretty amazing backstory too.

    Always nice to hear new material from Bobby Bird. From the writeup: A sonic study of early steam powered engines, originally conceived as a large scale octophonic live concert performance ‘Watt’s Orbit’, now re-realised in stereo 96k/24bit audio files as ‘Song of the Machine’. Bandcamp only release. A dark journey through the heart of the beast. All tracks written and produced by Bobby Bird.

    Can't recommend Josh's work highly enough. His latest is a darker turn than normal, but still quite a wild ride from beginning to end. What a nice year end surprise. He also just released a collection of no less interesting tracks he made with his father, saxophonist Stephen O'Connell. Check Blue and Green version 2 from this set - lovely stuff all around though.
