  1. Iceland was the best of this lot, now they're doing something bizarre to the tune of Albignoni's Adagio. I like Yngwie Malmsteen's version better.
  2. My (Ch-Vox) Redux was missing the download card, I contacted Bleep (Ochre) about it and they "credited" me with the download on my account on Bleep - although I had it already when I bought the bundle - and marked the issue settled. I'm expecting a code to replace the card, if they don't deliver, that's just cheap. I'm always giving the extra codes out to friends who I think would like the music.
  3. I was thinking the same thing, but that wasn't outrun, synth or any other wave. It was crap.
  4. But still... have to watch.
  5. Fantastic first release for this Distant Worlds sublabel - currently, alas, vinyl only. Recommended.
  6. Immortal - Indian Evil Bass Prodigy. 14 years old.
  7. I've heard this performed so many times it's ridiculous, but for Finns it's of the utmost importance. It's actually a protest piece against increasing Russian censorship. Play it to a Finn and they will be silent and still for the whole duration, and you'd better make sure you do, too. I like the hymn version better than the instrumental. Everything about this piece is amazing - this version is a bit fast, though.
  8. Inkipak's second album, now out on Mighty Force. Beautiful breakbeat driven melodic electronics and some acid, highly recommended.
  9. I've waited 27 years to hear Fugue's Contrapoint and Interlagos from vinyl without the pitch wobble due to the off-centre pressing of LM-02. The mastering is sublime on the whole set of tracks and the pressing is top shelf. I'm glad I ordered another copy.
  10. I would hazard a guess that Orfan Atmosphere txk's bassline could be sampled from this, all tracks have a similar bassline sound.
  11. Influenza jab, every year for as long as I can remember. Never had anything more than transient pain from the needle.
  12. I'm absolutely not advocating for mandatory vaccinations to get to herd immunity (for COVID-19 or anything else). I'm trying to make it explicitly clear that I think it's definitely not smart - and yes, even selfish - to decidedly avoid getting vaccinated. Recommending and advocating for vaccinations is regularly blatantly and incorrectly conflated with the idea of supporting and advocating for them to be mandatory or even forced; this is not true, plain and simple. I'm happy that vaccines are available and that I have the option of having them (which I do with gusto, because science); I'm happy to pay the taxes to fund them - but I would resist, too, if they were mandatory or forced. Being smart has always been optional, and more and more people are choosing not to be smart but smart-asses about it.
  13. Mine was finally delivered to my local post office, will pickup after work. Excited.
  14. Digital only. Currently only Orfan Atmosphere txk available, but it's rather different from the album version - better, I think.
  15. Sounds like sampled Aphex Twin on the title track. The previous release on DetUnd was a bit more interesting.
  16. Sam Black's first full album, a bit of everything, but nice. Recommended.
  17. New material from Robbers. Not really my cup of tea, but maybe of interest.
  18. Delia Derbyshire: The Myths and the Legendary Tapes (BBC) Can't watch due to regional restrictions and can't be arsed to set up a VPN exit node or jump any other technical hoops, but might be of interest to those able to access.
