  1. I, too am economically challenged. I can keep track of arithmetic of what I spend and what I have saved, but if you start speaking like the movie The Big Short in front of me I will space out and the sounds of amp feedback or something will fill my head. That is a good movie though.
  2. A money shot of psychedelic toad venom to the face. My next album title.
  3. And apparently, the rest will come out too. Probably for maximum election annihilation.
  4. Are you seriously saying burning and breaking shit, facepalm emojis and being a little babby is way less effective at making Bernie Sanders president than voting is? But that means you have to take 30 seconds to fill out a form online and then go to a building to fill in a circle on a piece of paper! Check your privilege, bootlicking scum.
  5. Sounds crazy. What do you think of that movie The Lives Of Others? Also, any interesting stories from that time? I think Trump is focusing on Antifa because they're a left wing extremist group, and he has to counter what happened with that Unite The Right protest in Charlottesville, Virginia. It sounds like it's Bill Barr's little project. Apparently it's not a very organized group at all, though.
  6. You might also be used as controlled opposition, and you’ll find out when it’s too late. ?️
  7. Yeah, but another one of those hard pills to swallow is that in order to overcome racial disparities, we need to realize the flaws in Critical Race Theory, a tool of the managerial class which is proving to be more of an obstacle to people getting along than it is helping. A lot of the hip beliefs people have about race and identity these days are actually a product of the establishment many claim to hate so much. When no one is a good enough ally, you won’t have many allies, which is better for the status quo.
  8. Everyone played beer pong in college, even the fuckin nerds.
  9. Yep, essential worker here who couldn’t protest, or call out of work because someone I work with is getting tested for Covid and we are shorthanded. I’ve gone to at least a couple others in the past few years, but not this time. I’ll catch the next one in three months or whatever.
  10. You’re the one making assumptions about innocent bystanders getting bricks thrown through their window and saying it’s cool because they’re white. Which is the kind of thinking we’re all supposed to be against, right? Feel free to explain your enlightened ways to me and how this will solve unfair treatment of people of specific races.
  11. Big Brain Time indeed. You definitely aren’t capable of caring about civilians getting murdered unless you break an innocent bystander’s window. Bonus points if they’re white, right? Because that will get them to like you and care even more about this issue than before.
  12. Yes, the horseshoe effect. Antifa hates the Starbucks liberals as much as the alt-right does and at the end of the day, they do pretty much the same stuff. I honestly think the prevalence of either group is overstated. There are probably more crusty punk people but they aren’t an organized group by any means.
  13. I was talking about this at work and someone said that the staged bricks at the protest spots are actually so people think to pick them up and break windows and stuff because they will focus on something other than attacking the police, which would be a more dangerous situation than just destroying property. Maybe I'm out of the loop but I thought this sounded somewhat plausible. They know a lot of people want to do something violent and destructive, so they give them the safer option. Old news? Dumb? My first thought was that they were to provoke any protesters so that more can be arrested.
  14. I honestly thought it was just okay, even dragged quite a bit for most of the film
  15. Let’s get a show of hands: How many of you have properly repented for the original sin of being white/male/straight? Don’t lie. Present me your shame...
  16. I watched Saló: 120 Days of Sodom recently. It was the shit. But really, I think when I was reading about the film, my imagination was a lot scarier. The themes of consumerism, fascism+depravity, values and morals being for the little people who are basically livestock landed a bit better from reading than when I actually watched it.
  17. For Trump to be in a bunker with the lights out like no one is home after a bunch of people who didn't even have guns went buck wild, I gotta say I am a little impressed. I am watching with something approaching a cautious optimism at this point. I just don't like people's property getting destroyed because that's innocent people's livelihoods right there and if no one cares about innocent people's lives being fucked with, what are we doing really? It's easy to say "if you want to make an omelet, you gotta break some eggs" when they aren't your eggs... during a pandemic. But this buck wild shit is no poser shit and on some level I do respect it.
  18. I’m not so sure many rioters or looters are alt-right, but we shall see. Isn’t it interesting how the MAGA lockdown protesters showed up with guns and looked very lame, while these protesters have no guns, shit is going kaboom and pants are being shatted. We suck at revolutions from every angle, it seems. How did we do it that first time?
  19. Did you know that when Al Capone died of syphilis, they took some of the pus to a lab to do experiments with, and as a result, we got Donald Trump? History is weird like that.
