  1. Very prolific! Also a follow up album with Zimpei came out last month, the first one was excellent weird drones so I have this one in the bag too. https://samshackleton.bandcamp.com/album/in-the-cell-of-dreams The collab album with Scotch Egg was really great too, gonna be in my top 10 of the year
  2. New Shack album suddenly drops out of nowhere! What a day. Digitalis.... https://samshackleton.bandcamp.com/album/the-scandal-of-time and wax.... https://boomkat.com/products/the-scandal-of-time
  3. It looked like Speedy J (in the middle) had a master mixer and was bringing stuff in from both sides of the table, so he was basically DJing between their live sets. Or so it looked to me. Karenn (Blawan and Parish) on the right, Surgeon and JJ on the left. That made my otherwise awful Monday back at work fantastic
  4. No idea where to put this on the forum. But it should be heard and viewed by anyone with a passing interest in modern electronics / techno. A 7- hour recording from Paradiso Amsterdam 21/10/2023, featuring Surgeon, Blawan, JakoJako, Speedy J and Pariah, all performing in a very impressive and seamless live jam. Awesome visuals too. The first hour alone is full of some jaw dropping awesomeness. Also: no phones policy! Everyone be dancing. Lovely to see.
  5. Yep. I consider myself an avid Underworld fan, but these "limited" (1000, lol) vinyl drops can do one. And £80 for a hoodie? Come on guys, thats not cool.
  6. The only characters out of the lot that me and my crew couldnt identify are the near 2 top right on the platform next to crash bandicoot - any ideas? Plus also if you follow Jim on instagram he has a good array of synths - the lads obviously a raver! I think thats Papua New Guinea - FSOL on the right turntable? Not sure about the left but theres Born Slippy and Insomnia down front.
  7. Thank you for bumping this, it got lost in my Bandcamp wishlist. What a swamp of a place that is. This is great and it now needs my purchase especially with the bonus content.

  9. same, gutted I had to sell. And my forever dwindling support of the train staff and their ridiculous strikes continues as that is 2 of my summer plans ruined now. I'd be happy if I earned half of what a train driver earns a year.
  10. Sleep is an amazing album, and so is the "lost sleep" companion digital EP. VSnares is the man. Hope he drops some new bombs on us soon, but whenever he is ready. We were spoilt for a long while so fair do if he needs to find his feet again.
  11. I like this crash test dummies track mmm mmm mm mmmmmm
  12. Ive listed my ticket to sell below face value. I can't afford a hotel, all the hostels are booked up, and the coaches are pay on the door which is a massive gamble given how many people will be fighting for a seat. Not up for a 1am royal rumble! So if anyone fancies going. Here's the link. I'll give a bonus discount to a watmm member if you send me a massage https://tixel.com/u/9731678
  13. Great! Train strikes announced. Which makes my commute a bit rougher. And getting home a bigger nightmare. Anyone in Bristol got a bit of floor I can crash on? Or outside space I can pitch my tent? I had cash. Failing that, I guess I stumble around town until dawn. Also, set times announced. The scalping/Leftfield clash is a hard pill to swallow.
  14. Well I never knew they were married. That's so cool.
  15. Fun EP. Paid £3.99 for the WAV's direct from the Aphex site, happy with getting the 8 tracks. I think my vinyl buying days are done, £22 for the wax and only 4 tracks is insane tbh. The bonus app tech is cool for 5 minutes but I just can't justify the costs. Fun fact: BBLR and Collapse EP total 14 tracks, 65 minutes, just burnt to a CD ready for my car journey tomorrow ? 7\ cheers RDJ
  16. 3 years in and I still find awesome new things to do with my Neutron
  17. lol you guys, ive only listened to it once. Gonna wait for it to actually get released before I go mad on it. I guess im a bit older and wiser/jaded but I can't binge listen to stuff on repeat like I used to.
  18. I love the way the last 30 minutes or so of this mix gives way to spacey oblivion. Cool that they played a Sunken Foal track (and minced Oath,) too
  19. Awesome news, cheers. And its little by their usual standards but thats fine by me ?
  20. "As Flesh & The Dream, Heather Leigh & Shackleton chart an ambitious journey of discovery in the psychic dancehall, conjuring a debut album that’s a psychedelic prog masterpiece, probing the gooey membrane between outré folk vocalisations and dizzying, queered soundscapes. There's nowt out there quite like it, channeling the spirits of Annette Peacock, Anna Homler, Coil, Kate Bush, Rrose, Harry Partch and Yes into a brilliantly unfathomable, singular vision........" [etc... massive usual boomkat blurb about how great this is....] And the previews do indeed sound excellent! Shackleton diving deeper into psychedelic prog and further from dub... the female vocals work really well too. https://boomkat.com/products/choose-mortality
  21. I'm super stoked for this album, especially as Ben Frost worked on it with them. He guested on a track on the Leaving Meaning album but now appears to have more of a pivotal role. I even intend to go to an actual record shop to buy this!
