As a graphic designer, you should design their next album cover, Asy! Murder Alex Rutterford and ask Warp for hiring you.

It's actually from a generative video Autechre made and featured on the Warp site around the time of Confield's release (don't get your hopes up, it's only about 10 seconds, but still cool) . A frame of the video near the end is the exact image from the album cover. The video is named Confileid, probably spawning a slightly altered title for the album.

I've uploaded a quicktime file of the video (the only one I've ever come across) for the good folks at WATMM.

thanks man!

the cover image flies past at 0:08, you can't miss it.

although, watching this did sorta ruin my vision of what the rest of the image looked like.

bit disappointing really. but thanks again. :ok:

it's always been a dream of mine to work for the "designers republic"!

You can see where the video was originally hosted on the Warp site here: http://www.warprecords.com/artists/news.ph...3&filter=ae

Interesting that the original version of Konlied MX was called Conlied, and out almost the same time as Confield. This might be a heavy rework of a Confield song now that I think of it.

I wish the link for VI CODE SPOILSE was still active! Definitely relates to Confield but there is nothing featured there anymore. I wonder...

Did The Designers Republic stop working for Warp? I haven't seen any cover art by them since the end of the 90's.

Cheers, Six! As regards VI CODE SPOILSE, it's probably Jazzb@, but this site implies that it was just the title used for Vi Scose Poise when it was streamed on the Warp site. It would indeed be interesting to know if there was anything more to it than that though.

it's the first track off confield and a generative videoy thing that looks like the cover of chiastic, sorta.

you need to enable popups for warprecords if you have them blocked

I just got some poster hangers for my geogaddi and confield posters. I'm putting the confield one in my living room.

I placed the hang tabs on the sleeve incorrectly. I'm gonna have to go to the store. expect an update soon.

posters successfully hung. confield in the living room; geogaddi in the bedroom. I don't have a camera, so no pics (sorry).
