My ol' skool 2 gig Creative Zen Stone Plus had an FM-Tuner in it and is only like 30 quid.

Yes, the Samsung 256MB MP3 player I have (it's damn small, another reason I kept it for 6 years) has an FM tuner. I prefer the look/feel/UI of the iPods, though.

My old iRiver had FM Radio. We're you waiting specifically for an iPod to have this?

Yep - I hated the need for an 'addon' so something as basic as FM radio can be used on an iPod.

why would you want a video camera on a nano sized screen? i've always found video to be ridiculous at that size

And when you transfer it to your computer... what then? Do you honestly think it captures video at the Nano's screen resolution?

Perhaps digital cameras should have 21" screens, too...

crazy apple takes so fucking long to implement standard features into the ipod, too bad it doesnt have an am tuner. i dont listen to any FM radio, there is literally nothing on FM out here worth listening to.

and watch 2 years later apple will be proud to announce that you can TIVO the fm radio to an mp3 ! oh wait seacrane radio has a tape cassette version of this concept made 20 years ago

New iPod Nanos have a video camera and FM Tuner built in, available now 8GB 149USD, 16GB 179USD.

Say goodbye, 256mb MP3 player!

THIS POST SPONSERED BY APPLE USA INC.

laemnor ... it's prob. a feature that will be on a phone you'll be buying in about six months anyway ... plus i find it hard to believe that you of all people still own a 256megmp3player well unless it's one of those supermicro jogging thingoez .. hence my edit in the quote ...

That's pretty nuts that they didn't see fit to put in a radio until recently.

I know - it's taken them 8 years to do this!

radio doesn't have a cool hairdo ...

PLUS THIS SHOULD BE IN GENBAN ;-p

Is that really the only reason you want an ipod? Not for mp3s, but for a fucking radio? I mean, can't you just buy a radio for like 5 dollars?

Guest Glass Plate

Lol wtf, so many other brands of MP3 players have been doing that for so long, now that ipods have them, other brands (like Creative) still kick the shit out of apple products. 'Cause apple is a buncha dicks.

What the fuck? It doesn't even take still pictures.. just a video camera. Completely pointless and unnecessary on an mp3 player.

I agree. I'd rather be able to take stills if anything. And the radio...seriously WTF? Now? You want to introduce FM on your players now? Lol

I like the lower prices on stuff though. Maybe one day I'll upgrade my 8GB Nano, but it's fine for now.
