Looking for some upbeat electronica

I thought that was a bad term when after I posted. Anything really, house, dance, techno, acid. I really don't have much so this was an attempt at broadening things a bit, just the emphasis was on upbeat. I think it came on after listening to Orbital again mixed in with some Underworld.

Oooooh yes !

His mate Mr Oizo makes some good stuff too. You can check his new track "Rubber" (featuring Gaspard Augé from Justice) is a killer...(you can watch an official video here)

That made more sense the 1st video I saw. There was no lettering. Just a tyre standing upright and falling down a hill for about 2 minutes.

I dont wanna turn this into another ED Banger thread, but I prefer Kavinsky to Mr. Oizo for some reason.

I forgot to mention the band : "Chateau Marmont". Their EP "Nibiru" is damn good, especially the track called..."Nibiru".

You can listen to it on their MySpace page.

For sure that's a little "Kraftwerkian" but I like it very much !

this is what you need, op

I'm surprised it took this long for someone to mention that. As soon as the word "acid" appeared in post #3 (along with the word "upbeat" in the title) I figured everyone would jump on that suggestion.

But perhaps you should also listen to some Squarepusher, like Hard Normal Daddy or Go Plastic, and many others actually. Aphex Twin's Richard D. James Album is also quite upbeat.

You guys are the shit, you know that, right? I've got all squarepusher, aphex twin (RDJ album has bad memories associated to it - shame really). I've got some Mr. Oizo, Kavinsky, first 2 max tundra albums and I'm really enjoying them so thank you. Going to take a look at the planetmu stuff when I get to a pc. I've got most of the big name stuff but this has opened up so more doors.

Oh yeah, jeez, if you don't have Ceephax's UAE yet you need to get on that pronto. It'll put a smile on yer face, guaranteed.

Check out Cobblestone Jazz's album 23 Seconds. I still haven't listened to the first disc because I like the second so much. Fave tracks are Untitled Live Improvisation, 23 Seconds and Dump Truck. Very upbeat, very fun.

Here's a track: (I don't know why it says Minimal Mix - it's the original)
