The best way to search for a post on here is to go to google.

Without quotation marks, type in: "site:watmm.com YOUR QUERY"

Perfect results every time.

true, but this query was SO simple and unambigious that i figured i'd just use the local search.

and it fucked up, and i waded thru pages of irrelevant shit, lol.

yeah i just go to google now and type "WATMM [search term]" and it comes up top result everytime.

maybe we should hide the search on here as it is completely useless. unless there is a secret to using it

I wish it always returned posts, not threads.

I wonder if anyone really searches thread titles.

Couldn't a google search bar be added to the top of the forum? It would eliminate that issue.

lol

You you want to Install Yahoo Tool Bar w/ Weatherbug? Instant updates on local weather are only a tedious install/uninstall process away! *looks out window, forever alone*

exactly. But there is one thing that you don't mention and that is explicitly stated in google's manual :

DON'T PUT ANY SPACE BETWEEN THE ""site", :" and the url

A lot of forums have it. It's just a little box where the old search box would be, except it would be more accurate. Quite useful.
