Still need to check their solo stuff out, but good news, though I actually never listen to this kind of music any more.

Neither do I, but sounds quite good this one track!

was kinda put off them after the hype surrounding Veckatimest. stupid really, because I love that album. that track sounded pretty cool, just checking out Rossen's solo ep.

Never listened to this band properly. My indie mates have all asked me what I think of them as its common knowledge I am a Warp fanatic, They always seem a little bemused that I am clueless.

I usually don't like never really got into Grizzly Bear but have to say that Sleeping Ute is, indeed, a very good track.

Will give Yellow House a proper listen as well :music:

Yeah, when Yellow House came out it was cool. It's still beautiful music (indeed it is SO beautiful), but something changes, when suddenly all the hipsters are all over them. Same with Animal Collective.

if you just listen to the music what does it matter who else likes them? do you need to wear the band tshirt? get the band name tattooed on your body? just enjoy at home. don't go and see them live. if you care about who else likes a band you like then you're as much a hipster as they are, worse even.

i find it odd that their new album is self-titled. normally isn't a bands first album self-titled?

Many bands have released self-titled albums further into their careers. The first two that come to mind are Metallica and Deftones. That said, I don't like self-titled albums, especially if it's not their first. It just seems lame, they could at least use one of the track names. Sometimes they're trying to make a statement with it...like "back to basics" or "a new direction" or whatever.

But in the case of this Grizzly Bear album, I'm starting to think they just haven't released the name yet. If you go to the Amazon and Bleep pre-order pages, they all say TBA for the album name. I hope they name it something.

Last album was incredible, didn't get much into the first two. The new songs sounds great, their last album opener stuck into my head for month.

I find it cool that they self title their 4th album. It's like hey! we did not self title the first album, let's do it now then.

i don't like it when an album has a title track. puts too much emphasis on that track.

self titled is quite unimaginative but it sounds like this will be titled.

i also don't like it from a visual perspective it just looks clunky 'grizzly bear - grizzly bear'
