I don't think I believe the premise at all. The drawings seem too intentionally representational of the misconceptions of how these drugs work/the effects of the drug. For example, 1 bump of crystal meth wouldn't make that substantial of a difference in the drawing abilities of this guy to make him make that illustration versus the other pictures.... Another example is the nicotine gum. No way in hell would that affect a persons interpretation of their self enough to make that picture...

Still neat though. =)

Some of them are pretty cool, though I'm guessing in a lot of cases it was more "wow I'm kinda high & want to make crazy abstract art", as opposed to "I'm really stoned & trying to draw a realistic self portrait".

Also dude wears a My Little Pony shirt so

he's been drawing a self portrait every day for the past 16 years, and will continue to for the rest of his life. Also, he wasn't/isn't a "partier", so for the most part I do think the portraits are honest I don't know.

Most of those are very forced, like the marijuano drawings.

if you're talking about the G13 one, I WOULD agree, as it looks tacky, BUT, I recently had some of that particular strain, and indeed does feel like a comforting pressure right in that spot.

You're right, I'm biased by my own experiences on this one.

It is entirely possible that it is legitimate.

wow every day for 16 years huh? That is strange. I wonder what the effects are of this on a persons psyche.. the constant reflection on ones self, I mean.

crazy!

I've at times thought about doing a daily self-portrait for an extended period. Constant recreation of a mundane subject is a great way to slowly drift into abstraction, & your own face seems like a really obvious choice

i have to agree, my friend showed me this week and i had to call bullshit on it. Fun concept, but would have been cooler if it seemed real.
