    This was for sure my crowning achievement. My oldest attachments are quite disappointing really. I think I required a longer incubation period than most to fully assimilate into the watmm hivemind. But I am pleased with the end result.

    Woke up before 5am, got maybe 4 hours sleep. Tried to nap earlier, but I'm pretty sure I just lay awake for four hours. I really don't know how insomniacs do it, because if I have one night like that it leaves me a total wreck the next day. Puts me in this weird emotionally fragile state where all I can do is reflect seriously on humanity/relationships/mortality, etc. Usually I'm really focused on whatever project I'm working on, but on nights of not-enough-sleep I can't focus at all. I feel like a different person. Maybe I'll clean my room - ha!

    Deloused is a fucking ridiculously strong debut album. All of their albums are interesting and impressive for many reasons, but every single song on Deloused is a big winner for me. Amputecture's also quite excellent, but the songwriting's still not quite on the same level. They just started off way too good and didn't really leave any room for improvement... not to undermine everything else they've done, as it's great, but... like how the fuck do you top Deloused?

    I had an interesting moment a few years back while high on E listening to music (this is before people started dropping like flies thanks to fentanyl pissing all over that parade). The moment consisted of me hearing a song as one whole thing, as opposed to a combination of many different details put together in an aesthetically pleasing way. It sounded like magic. I wondered if that is closer to what music sounds like for people who haven't been studying it obsessively for decades. Or rather, I was convinced that is how it sounds like to other people because I was high as fuck.

    Accidentally posted my FWP in the youtube thread. It went as follows: It's an ongoing problem. I'm very distraught about this. Just had to toss my entire Merzbow folder onto an external, and I bet it's only going to grant me another half hour of video editing time. Fucking stupid. This is completely unsustainable.

    Video editing takes up insane amount of hard drive space. Like... every hour I have to clear another gig+ of data just to keep going for the next hour. What the fuck! How can this be? How do movies get made??? This is just for a 4 minute music video. I'm used to editing accounting for like... not even megabytes worth of data. Guess I've been spoiled as an audio guy all these years.
