  1. Tbh as much as I enjoy their collaborations with Hafler Trio, I can scarcely imagine how much more I'd enjoy a possible collaboration with :zoviet*France:
  2. Love p much all I've heard of hers. These first two singles are no exception

    tac Lacora

It makes sense that their longest album to that point would have such a short EP. But daaaaaaaaaaang, yeah tac Lacora is a very strong opener. And much like Gantz Graf, it's one of those pieces that repeated listens reveal the structure of. And it becomes impossible to hear it as a "random" cluttered collage of textures which it may appear at first to be.
  4. Rae is definitely a great one from LP5. I like almost everything on there, though I've never enjoyed Melve. Acroyear2 is weighed down somewhat by its melody for me on some listens. Corc is very, very pretty and has a very nostalgic quality to it, the melody often recalls their first two albums in a good way. But it doesn't quite fit with the others in my estimation.
  5. Some, I think maybe most groups/artists don't like it. Some are ambivalent. Autechre are "taper friendly" and may have even said as much. Certainly they appreciate their fans enough to know we'd appreciate official soundboards/know they can make an easy buck off us doing so. That said, the musical venues in question may have a different opinion on the matter than Sean & Rob. Which, if negative, I hope isn't overriding. But even if it is, one can record sneakily. If even this is not possible, no worries -- Sean has said that official recordings of this tour/recreation(s) of the set will be available for sale in due course.
  6. Very exciting news! Gorgeous artwork, too! I love pretty much everything they've done under this alias. Maybe the biggest high profile act that keeps alive the spirit and atmospheres from the dawn of IDM in the early 90s with the Artificial Intelligence spirit and other classic "chillout room" vibes of the sort found on the likes of FSOL's first few and Luke Slater's 7th Plain, all the while keeping it fresh and not sticking to the older sound palette. Ae may be my favourite act of any genre but in terms who's keeping the feeling of classic ambient psychedelic techno but not as an act of navelgazing and remaining stuck in the past and has been continuing to, hard to point to an act other than Plaid.
  7. I rate some Gnork. People hating on his name, get a grip on yourselves. It's almost certainly an onomatopoeia. If it isn't, it's less nonsense a nonsense word than many artists' aliases out there.
  8. New Kelela is very welcome news!
  9. Good riddance. Even if she was by all measure "better" than her ancestors, there can be no use in eulogizing a despot who held the hereditary title and level of power she did. Fingers crossed Charles dissolves the rest. If they were to abolish the monarchy, redistribute some of the wealth to pay reparations to the many peoples wronged*, returned Scotland to its own self rule, ditto for Wales, let Ireland reunite, dissolve the commonwealth etc, there'd still be money left over to help with the economic situation Brexit brought on. *It is said that the most commonly celebrated holiday the world over, on many different days throughout the calendar year is that which marks independence from Britain
  10. He is grifting based on inflammatory nonsense but he isn't swindling the incels and other far right internet creeps so much as giving them some pseudo "theory" they can point to as backing up their existing view points and ideologies
  11. Some of these are hastily chosen as I have more than one song I am absolutely nuts for from their albus 1. Bronchus 2 2. Montreal 3. C/Pach 4. Nuane 5. Under BOAC 6. Sim Gishel 7. Surripere 8. Pro Radii 9. The Plc 10. os veix3 11. Flep (RIP Salvatorin, I don't think I'll ever shake the mental association of you and Flep the dolphin) 12. si00 13. 7FM ic
  12. I used to post under a different name on the same account but in the intervening years I've realized I was transgender, drifted away from the forums and then at some point came back. Don't post as much as I used to, since I'm in better health/less manic and hypomanic like I was in my earlier days here but I still love Autechre. I'm also definitely a lot more into more "normal" electronic stuff like techno, jungle, and so on than the IDMs these days, but Ae still scratches an itch no one else can. I remember your name and face but don't totally remember your old posts, I'm sorry to say. Good to see you back around these parts, though.
  13. https://rhythmwerk.bandcamp.com/album/zubia-ep Brilliant debut EP from new techno producer Judy on the relatively new label Rhythm Werk (this is their second release). Straightahead but absolutely lovely banging techno that should appeal to any fan of the style who doesn't need everything to be tough as nails and bleak EDM or schranz and enjoys some groove and atmosphere in their tunes. Not too tracky, either, even though that can be something that has its time and place. 1. Ustekabe (6:13) 2. Ondo Doa (6:00) 3. Herengun (6:54) 4. Ez Nazazu Ukitu (6:40)
  14. There's a new alias for the legend of Scottish techno: Amorphic. He's planning on releasing a bunch of things this year under the title and here's what's out so far. An EP on Modularz (the first of a few): Modularz 63 - Voyager 222 by Amorphic The launch of a self titled label which will release two more EPs of the project this year: Amorphic 01 by Amorphic An EP on Symbolism: https://www.beatport.com/release/resonation-ep/3825788
  15. No, but new reissues of music that's about twenty years old is a good occasion for a remaster job
  16. I hope those reissues of Confield and Draft 7.30 are remastered. Can't honestly imagine why they wouldn't be.
  17. Listening again now and ahhhhh yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
  18. This album has held up quite well. First time in a long while relistening to it.
  19. Couldn't have been a more perfect album for this. Exai is one of their albums that marks a turning point in their career of a higher level of clarity in the sound design. I'm not sure exactly how many there have been, I think certainly more than two, but notice for example the difference in the fidelity of the sound between say EP7 and Confield. Also an excellent choice given all the excellent use of the stereo field by the lads.
