Article from NME in 1994 about the Britronica tour in Russia. You can add 16th April 1994 Pilot Club, Moscow to your list although it sounds like Aphex only got to play one record.

i noticed, once again, that we still do not have the complete "1992-09-09 - Peel Session 1" broadcast, this is pissing me off since i know at least one of the 25,000 hits this thread has had has this. i am missing track 3, which appeared on "Classics" as "We Have Arrived (Aphex Twin TTQ Mix)". However the proper broadcasted version is NOT 5:06, as on the classics CD. if you downloaded a version of the peel session from slsk with this track timing, it is NOT the broadcasted version. if you do have the proper broadcasted version, post it for god sakes!

tracks I love and never heard before are track '9' and '15'. track 2 appears to be missing. anyone got any ideas what these 2 songs are? anyway, have a listen

Track 9 sounds like an early version of Equation.

15 has got the drums from Laughable Butane Bob but some weird Plinky Plonky thing going on.

forgot what 13 was called though.

aphex twin - 1997-07-13 live at quarterfestivalen, kristiansand, norway

A new fingerprint file was generated when the filenames

were changed to reflect the accurate date (they were

originally named 1996 rather than 1997).

Actual song titles are listed first with provided song titles

in square brackets. Looks as though Mr. James may have been

playing games with his friendly host...

CD (53:43)

01. [radio intro]

02. Bucephalus Bouncing Ball [..... friend of nico's]

03. To Cure A Weakling Child (Contour Regard) [saltee noob]

04. Laughable Butane Bob [little bowlees]

05. Heliosphan [suk me for ....]

06. lichen [contour regard]

07. $Inkey [hugh g...//...s theme]

08. Girl/Boy Song [faffy]

09. Crappy [track 9]

10. Digeridoo [didgeridon't]

11. come to daddy (pappy mix) [i want your body]

12. [radio outro]

Tape flip in track 7.

Radio jingles sprinkled throughout, between or at

the very beginning of songs. I did not edit them

out to keep everything flowing nicely.

During the radio intro, the host tells us a little bit

about aphex twin, the myths surrounding him, etc. for

those who don't understand norwegian, here is a summary:

* he obviously liked playing at Quart, because the rumours say

he didn't want any payment for playing.

* at the hotel in Kristiansand, Mr. James enjoyed himself by making

fun of people he thought looked really stupid.

* there is a myth saying that he never sleeps, but that is obviously

not true. but he is by nature "on speed" / quite hyperactive

* a true myth is that at his parents' in Wales he has parked an

armored & armed military vehicle which has caused quite a lot of

damage in the normally quiet town of Cornwall...

* he has done many remixes, and the most well-known is probably

the one he did for Lemonheads, because he had forgotten all about

it, so when the mailman came to pick up the remix, he went up to

his bedroom, found a tape of some music he once made, and presented

it as a remix! this was released on an album, and he made 40.000

bucks (unknown currency) off of it.

* he also claims to have written a lot of pop songs which have

been high on the top 40 lists in great britain, but he refuses

to say which songs/artists this concerns.

* the audience at the Quart Festival had a quite bizarre experience:

there were some teddy-like creature on stage, and aphex twin himself

sat in a sofa and looked like he was quite relaxed. the show itself

is on the other hand very good and very interesting.

radio host: Kristin Vincents

producer: Harald Are Lund

mixing: Harald Are Lund & Arne Dybvik

recorded by NRK P3.

Sound: A / Very good. Some very slight tape hiss, only

audible when the music is very quiet.

Broadcast on norwegian radio NRK P3 sometime in 1996.

I recorded it to analogue cassette back then, and have

now transferred it to the digital realm.

Solo Strike, just thought you might be interested to know I got an ID for the mysterious electro track at the start of the ATP set, it's called Break Dancer, from this - http://www.discogs.com/release/51973

What's worse is that I had the LP version of it sitting in my huge unsorted music dir since the 7th of July this year according to the last modified date.

Damn, I really need to get my lazy arse round to sorting that stuff more often.

Only 3 more IDs for part one until the tracklist is complete!

if there is a aphex twin live in 2003-04-04, soon u'll have it! ;-)

What the?

Alex I thought I shared this concert with you? I see 2003-04-05 listed has 28 songs in flac format so that must be what its in my screenshot here but;

Did we have a discussion that I'm forgetting as to whether my files date or the forum listed date is wrong? I'd like to correct mine if they're wrong but Rappard is usually pretty good with his Aphex knowledge and recordings so I'm inclined to question this.
