Guest lands end road

Pet Shop Boys - Please The A side is just hit after hit. They should have spread some of the A side tracks out a bit.

Japan - Gentlemen Take Polaroids Same case as above, although "Taking Islands in Africa" almost makes up for it.

As much as I love the album, Mew's "No More Stories etc" gets a little meh after Cartoons and Macrame Wounds. Although the last two songs are quite nice.

I don't remember specific song names but I agree the first half of that album is better. It just gets a little too samey in the second half, nothing really stands out.

although admittedly besting djed is a tall order

are you including the japanese bonus tracks? that's the version i have, but i haven't listened to it recently enough for an informed opinion... novelty value there

interesting. to me, that album is gold all the way from start to finish.

Me too. The only thing I can really think of off-hand is The Doors' Morrison Hotel. After Ship of Fools it starts to go south..
