Predictably jazz choice I know, but I still love this:

DEFINITE NSFW

Fucking classic!

One of my all time faves.

I think that one might win the thread...

I used to love gabber. Although I dont like it being called that. Technodrome all the way. Lenny Dee, Loftgroover, Scorpio etc etc. Exceptional stuff. Went to North in a few years back and had the time of my life.

It's all up north which is a bitch. There's barely anything worth listening to down south, which is probably why I lost touch a bit.

Still need to go Sensation Black though

I've never heard it called "Technodrome".

It's all hardcore or gabber to me.

Does anyone have any mix-tape links?

No, sorry jefferoo. I always called it techno. Gabber has never been in my vocabulary. Technodrome WAS the best night for "gabber" a few years back.

I tend to put random sentences together sometimes.

When I say Hardcore I mean Scott Brown, Kev Energy, Hixxy, Dougal, Sharkey etc etc.

Techno is fucking different to "gabber".

yeah, but gabber cannot be lumped into techno. it's more like hiphop than techno, cheap samples/drum samples layered for maximum butt kicking. do they even use synths?

This is what I can suggest old "gabber" to be.

It's not "gabber" it's techno. Always was, always will be. I need to convert my old tapes. Still haven't managed to get a cassette player yet. Just get "10 legendary years of techno" tape pack and you're sorted.

You could of course be talking about Deathchant or Rude Awakening.

Different kettle of fish people.

i was referring to industrial strength and bloody fist records, but it's been awhile since i was really following that stuff.

Anyone heard Cenobite records? Some of those are pretty awesome, but more of an energetic techno sound.

I used to love the hardcore raves a few years back. The Sanctuary was perfect for that sorta thing. My mates were all just getting into DnB and I was loving the hardcore. Scott Browns sets were always wicked. About 40 mins of his style hardcore (Evolution records) and about 20 minutes of Dutch Techno.
