nowadays, youngsters tend to use the phrase 'yeah, right..'.. to express that they think the person talking to them has uttered a nonsense.

in years past, people used to use more imaginative phrases such as,

"my eye", and..

"in a pig's ear"

what fun phrases can you think of to use in this context?

The best affects to make it work is the stretching of the words and the pause:

YYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAH... RRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTTTTT!

and I've heard this basically all my life and I think we're about the same age Ludd?

There's the ever popular

'Pull the other one' (it's got bells on)/ 'You're pulling my leg'

But I've always preferred

STOP SPEWING WORDS FROM YOUR WORD-HOLE YOU LYING MOTHERFUCKER OR I'LL CUT YOU

a real man views sarcasm as a creative opportunity. merely saying "yeah, right!" to anyone but some middle-school kid is akin to admitting deep creative failure.
