Lack of motivation and illness in the morning

what about going to the doctor? Unless there has been a major lifestyle change or increase in stress I don't see why you would suddenly feel sick in the morning. It is at least worth getting a checkup once in a while(although I haven't been to a doctor since highschool 5-6 years ago lol)

I wake up at 4 AM sometimes to take a medication and then go back to sleep for another hour and a half.

Try sleeping less? I work better in the mornings with less sleep. It does mean by end of the day Im so fucked.

 

Probably something to do with stress too.

Lol... i know. i've had a hard time dragging myself out of bed because of it, but i'm getting by, slowly...

Improve the quality of your sleep.

  • Try to fall asleep by 10—sleep isn't only about how much is needed, but when it's gotten.
  • Sleep in utter darkness or as close to it as possible
  • Silence, just as darkness
  • Meditation, just before lying down.

Have you tried sleeping nude? I've found that to really help. Also, it might be that you're sleeping in a strange position. Do you sleep on your chest with your head turned?

Works for everyone.

 

On a serious note - everyone has different sleep patterns, and those change as you age, so maybe experiment a little with the amount of sleep you get, when you go to bed and so on.

Get some exercise. If you smoke, cut out the cigarettes - nicotine is a terrible poison.

Me I sleep 4 hours a night - 3 to 7. Except on weekends, then I give myself 3 until whenever I get woken up by my kid (usually no later than 8 anyways). Wake up every morning no issues.
