lol, silly--i knoe there's whole labels devoted to "cold sound, bishes". silly practices. one of the most cliched man-in-the-field might be thomas Koner, but yeah, nunatak and nuuk if you want to hear recordings of winter in greenland.

This album, and the title track in specific, is just a total winner.

 

Steel Wound is much colder.

since solaris has been mentioned, i spent an entire winter listening to Cliff Martinez's soundtrack for the American remake. Fantastic stuff...I think I gotta give Kcinsu points for recommending that.
