Here is a little thing that I did last night. It is a rework of a track off of my (forever) upcoming album

I wish more headphones and soundsystems could support super low frequencies. this track dips into real sub bass range. I need tips on mastering/eq'ing.

thank you for your attention.

No problem. I could totally see this as a build-up to a super mental breakbeat driven climax, but I don't know if that it was you are about. Sort of like Wisp meets Aphex type of thing in my head. Like with a low frequency snare heavy break sample and then you slide into into focus, bring in a bass line, drop a melody, add a glitchy effect here and there, standard break effect fare really, then build that up into a more normal song structure.

I really like the build-up though. It has a lot of nice elements to it by itself. I could see if you were intending to leave it as is, but then it comes off as more a score type of thing with a bit of a throwback vibe. At least for me personally.

About the mixing in the first track... you don't really need anything below 50hz (40hz but then you're pushing it). Just gain it a tiny bit around 75 - 110 hz (you know, a wide Q) and that should give you enough sub.

Thanks for the input. A low cut filter would do the job right?
