Other versions available from their online shop too, I opted for the 2x12" with digital download.

Tickets for Royal Festival Hall gig in London (playing the album in full!!) released 4th July. Massive.

P.S 20 years??!!!

A truly innovative album that still sounds awesome. Just going to listen to the remastered Cowgirl that was free download with my pre-order.....

Wow, have to relisten to this. Kinda nice to see them putting out so many different tracks from that era as well. Lovely. mhhhhh

I can easily go stupid over things like this, but I don't let myself. Most of the extra stuff is pasted together for your money and not necessary IMO.

I'm easily going stupid over this, and look forward to this with great joy and anticipation :)

Just the fact that I can soon retire my personal compilation of single tracks and versions of these songs and get them all in remastered glory in a single release is fantastic. I really hope disk 2 and 3 is remastered as well, but I would guess they are.

I won't say I look forward to autumn in any way, but this will make it easier when it does.

In the name of God!

A lot of my favorite albums are being released as 5 cd deluxe box sets. I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing.

grumpy post alert

Marvellous, bought this album on day one of release in 1994 and always loved it. I'm also a sucker for deluxe reissues.

Yes! River of Bass is sweet, I wish they'd done more tracks like that. There was nothing like this album when it came out.

They could do no wrong for me until Beaucoup Fish, once they started getting other people to remix them instead of their own reworkings.

I sure hope the remastering job is done tatefully rather than just boosting it to modern loudness levels; so many remasters get botched this way making it hard to find which remasters are worthwhile.

If rick has done it himself, I'm sure it will be a good job

I was thinking hoping the same.

  • 3 months later...

My old dubnobass CD was frustratingly quiet - was the original just poorly mastered?

Great album though, glad to see a rerelease, although 5 discs is a bit excessive!

I don't think it was poorly mastered for the time. It is definitely a pre-loudness wars CD though.
