Been getting more and more into De Diepe Wereld and when I went back to that 'making of' that was filmed as part of an upcoming documentary, I noticed the same channel reuploaded a promo/short film they did a couple of years ago for The Crave Festival.

Might have been posted here back then but I didn't remember seeing it before. It's got a whole lot of Danny being Danny, Guy being Guy, etcetera.

Thanks for the heads up. Would've missed it for sure. Scored three albums so far from tuesday on. I'll buy some more afterwards just out of gratitude. Such a nice guy...

Here are 181 samples from the Oberheim Matrix 1000 synthesizer I made a few years ago (apparently on a lonely christmas evening looking at the file date!) – all free for you to use in your own music productions to load up in your sampler – all in 16 bit WAV format!  Lots of typical Oberheim spacey pads, strings, brassy stuff etc.etc.etc. Fresh ingredients for your MPC, Octatrack, Electribe, Ableton, FruityLoops, Tracker whatever you use to further your experiments in musical alchemy!

A littlebit of info about this synth:

a 19″ rack version of the Oberheim Matrix 6/6R stacked with 1000 preset patches. Two oscillator analog 12db Filter substractive synthesis with extreme modulation capabilities –  You can’t edit it from the front panel but its fully editable with an editor, controller or ‘other’ Matrix 6/6R.

Screen-Shot-2019-07-22-at-08.52.13-1024x

The sound is beautifull….sparkling, lush …..sharp but not harsch. Excells at brassy, plucky sounds, strings, pads but basses and other stuff can be quite decent too.  Overall a ‘sophisticated arcane’ sound, nubile analog. It can sound incredibly scary and eerie. The Oberheim Matrix 1000 really shines with a bit of reverb

some sound demos:

sound3.gifDeep Japan influenced Oberheim tones

sound3.gifJazzy & Lazy Oberheim sounds

sound3.gifBadalamenti strings transmorphing into SID style PWM

Download the sample pack ZIP here (94.1 Megabytezzzzzzzz)

Some more sound demos and info in the synthesizers section

This synth was heavily used in my Oberheim Space album released in 2015

This week we have the master, the legend, the man, the myth, the one and only Danny Wolfers also known as Legowelt. Our label goes way back with Danny and we've done several releases with him on BAKK, our other label. Many years ago when we were young and still throwing raves he was one of our favourite acts to have over and play for the youths. In his own words:

"1 hour+ of synth-trip with mostly upcoming Nightwind records material - cosmic free amateur jazz + professional ambient + devotional drug trip soundtrack songs and testing out some new synths too like the Novation WXAXRXP AFX 30th anniversary special edition Bass Station II"

ENJOY and stay flexible.

Some fun facts about this videoclip:

The puppeteering was done by Legowelt himself

The parrot’s name is called Gladio Parotti

Gladio parotti’s favorite crisps are Wokkels & ‘natural’chips

The track is a little bit different then the LP version – its sort of made especially for the videoclip

The entire clip was shot in slow motion on a Black Magic Camera

Hey did anyone ever cop a download of Shadow Wolf Episode 5? It wasn't on Hotmixes yet last time I checked, and the site's been down for a while now.

Heads-up to the hoarders and sensi addics, Episode 5 is downloadable from Soundcloud now. Noticed today as I was looking for a download of the 7th.

Hotmixes appears to be gone for good: https://www.intergalactic.fm/blog/2276-Hotmixes-net-shutting-down.html

Quintuple posting in a Legowelt thread.
