William S. Braintree - Automaton 2

Braintree

Recommended Posts

Automaton 2 is the followup to 2016's Automaton 1. These are some of the first thoughts of an AI becoming sentient.

This EP is full of energy, color, and detail. While pulling inspiration from multiple genres (acid, dnb, et al), this release strives to fill every second with activity by using techniques both familiar and new.

Previews are available on Soundcloud and Youtube:

Due out on May 17th via Bandamp.

This is up on Bandcamp now! Embeds look broken for now, so here's the link:

will be getting this for sure, samples sound good. ;o

I didn't realize you had so many releases.

Cheers!

That's not even all of them. There's one album on Future Image Records (Finlay Shakespeare's label) that was released back in 2010, (which I may rerelease at some point) and various EP's for Project 168 et al.

Thanks, Extralife! I'll probably do more like that in the future, but I have a lot more projects to get through before then.

By the way, I've decided to release Automaton 1 and 2 on cassette (and maybe VHS), so that will be going up on Bandcamp later this year. Aiming for the fall. Trying to include a little extra something for those of you that already bought one or both EPs.

I hope she enjoys it!

Finally circled back on that Bandcamp issue. Apparently, the Bandcamp player can only be embedded in the "slim" style on WATMM.

Def did!

Really nice release all around. Every track is great, but I think DRBOOM and Xanatos Gambit are my favs. What a banger to close an ep with lol.

Need to sign to Analogical Force. Your tracks are that good.

Yeah, seriously!

EP on regular rotation over here, the programming on these tracks is just ridiculous at times. Love the Pink Trombone sounds as you know :D

Thank you! Would love to make something for AF or Love Love. Those labels have tons of talent.

I made a track for a friend's compilation that was in AF's loose beat style (think Shinra), but it never got released. Might throw that up somewhere else eventually.

A friend has been putting together an interactive video for 'DRBOOM' and I'm pretty excited about it. Here's a clip:

He says it's about half way done, but looks damned cool so far.

My favorite song on a great ep.  Video looks sick so far. Looking forward to hear more new stuff from you.
