i've only got photoshop elements but i'm hoping it can do this effect. what i need to do is make the lower half of a photo become more transparent as it gets to the bottom, and overlay it on top of another photo... then do it again with another becoming more transparent from the middle to the top and lay it over again. ya get me? nah mean? crap explanation... three landscape photos overlapping top to bottom... the top one fades over the middle one, the middle one is solid with no transparency... the bottom one also fades over the middle one. help please.. i will try to find an example....

So it's only a few days away now and hopefully it'll be a bit more exciting than it was last year... *remembers Cammie Dunaway's tale of her skiing accident* Nintendo's press conference was a train wreck. Sony's press conference wasn't that interesting either. The most interesting thing they brought to the table was God of War 3 which is probably going to be quite epic even though it's made by another team this time around and MAG which I, unfortunately, think is going to be a disaster. Even Microsoft's press conference was boring, and they usually only talk about games and not that much about hardware. Microsoft did confirm the long-rumored deal with Netflix but I quic…

I got a new computer recently and I was eager to put it through its paces. My friend lent me his copy of Empire Total War and I thought seeing as I love the Total War series and I had a couple of weeks before being paid to buy the game - I would borrow it first. When I was trying to install the game before it could actually get to the install proper it told me there was a problem connecting to the Steam service and the install cancelled. I'm not much of a PC gamer but from my understanding Steam was an online game distribution service, so I was a bit baffled by this as it was a game on disc... Anyway, I tried the next day and it still couldn't connect. Then the day a…

it is most awesome i am very near to abandoning a taskbar. there are enough widgets and shit available that i can stick a menu with my less-used things on it somewhere on the bar. lots of very, very nice user-generated content on the site. icons and widgets for everything: http://rocketdock.com/ very light on cpu too. i haven't been as chuffed over a sweet little util since sequioaview *puts sequioaview on bar*.

I just had one of those days... First of all, I took the day off from writing my exam project to do visuals at one of the biggest festivals in Denmark, which I knew will get me way behind schedule but it never hurts adding festivals to one's resume. Then one of my laptops dies. It's 4 years old so it must be kind of worn out by now, but it still sucks because now I have to go out and buy a new one. Just before I leave home I empty my mailbox. I've received a letter where it says I haven't paid my tv license fee. As I'm on my way to the festival I stop by a gas station to get a cup of coffee. That has got to be the worst cup of coffee I've ever had. Tas…

Apparently giant fish (10-13 ft long) are appearing in the lakes and rivers around Chernobyl, and Russia's plans for containing the crumbling sarcophagus containing the radiation have been revealed as a dome, weighing over 20,000 tonnes and higher than the Statue of Liberty (94m), to be 108m high at it's apex. http://englishrussia.com/?p=2869

mosquitoes. this year i've been killing them barehanded, because trying to get a tissue or whatever usually ends up with them not being dead. not sure what i'm doing wrong, but 3 times they haven't died from one hit, even though i get blood on my hand. one was attached to my right hand, alive and twitching, blood on the other hand.. the blood was really sticky, took a bit of scrubbing to remove. but yea, the thing about mosquitoes is they can't wait til you're asleep before they go for your blood, and fly by your friggin ear (idiots), that keeps you awake and also means they don't get their blood

so me and my girl went out tonight to a cocktail bar in wimbledon village - it was sort of a work's do for my girlfriend's work and i was dragged along not particularly wanting to be there....in the end i drank a shit load of mojitos, had a good time and ended up dancing to old school rave tunes. she drank lots of red wine. i've just had to literally drag her out of a taxi coz she got completely fucking pissed out of her mind and couldn't even walk. i dragged her up to our apartment where she was subsequently sick, with only a small part of the sick ending up in the toilet. i've now cleaned up the sick on the hall carpet and managed to man-handle her into bed, remove …
