  1. I have sampled ASMR a lot in the past. Makes for some really awesome samples if you go youtubing for ASMR percussion and whatnot. Plenty of it. Besides that I have no clue what is up with the head tingles some people get from it.
  2. Wow It's like people are passionate about specific politicians and tend to only like 1 or 2 of them at a given time.
  3. So the synth bit that comes in at 14:41 in this video of the unreleased track 2016-2019 - 06 brooklyn trk3 (coachella wk1 2019) That awesome synth bit sounds like a sample of this at 3:50: I'm like 90% sure they're the same thing, though maybe it's sampled in a different place from the microscopic track where it's easier to clean up the other bits.
  4. I won't listen till it's out, but just listened to Nervelevers and knew I liked the track 2 seconds in. That's rare that happens for me.
  5. Months later but yes I checked out that album again because of the new album and it's a good album, but I imagine people at that point expected nothing less of awesome.
  6. Looks like some future tech from 50 years in the future.
  7. I've played that one too a while back, and I'd say The Nameless Mod is even better. Honestly it is like getting an official expansion for Deus Ex 1, and even surpasses it at a few points. TNM has two campaigns that branch out at about the 1 hour mark. Each of them are about 15 hours long, so it's made for two playthrus minimum. Basically you pick between two factions, one being good and the other evil. Kinda like being able to pick between staying with UNATCO or leaving them in the original, instead of being forced to leave them. And yeah Boneworks is Unity (like everything else it seems, lol). After Half Life: Alyx comes out I think is when it'll become worth it to buy VR as you no longer need $1500-$2000 to get a decent setup going, and there are a few AAA games out for VR, including dozens of excellent smaller/indie ones.
  8. When I say video game crash I was actually thinking not a monetary crash but a quality/innovation crash leading to disinterest. Should have elaborated. I doubt a monetary crash will happen, I think more people are playing video games now than ever if the definition of a video game is inclusive of those dumb phone games and not just AAA titles. For the past like 7 years I've been looking forward to maybe one AAA title every year or two. Oh yeah, I definitely play more indie stuff and classic stuff than AAA titles these days, by a long shot. That's part of the reason I don't see to get a high end computer anymore. I actually just got done playing a total conversion mod called "The Nameless Mod" for the original Deus Ex and also have been playing the Project Brutality mod for the original Doom. If you like those titles I can't recommend them enough. In terms of innovation I feel like VR is where it's at now with games like Boneworks. VR finally doesn't need a high end computer to work - works on my mid-tier laptop well and I can play basically every game I've bought for it.
  9. I've been seeing people talk about another video games crash of some kind due to all the BS associated with various games from the past few years. IDK if it will happen, but people certainly think it will. Hopefully something happens to where the industry becomes interesting again. These days it feels like I only ever see some BS associated with MTX or lootboxes or too many DLCS for too much, etc.
  10. I bought a high-performance PC back in 2016. I definitely used it, but only played a handful of games that absolutely needed it. Maybe like 1 or 2 a year, all of them for their single player campaigns. Then 2 or 3 years later it's out of date and probably costs $200 to build what was a $1100 PC. I'm of the opinion now that if you know you will be playing lots of high end games as they come out that will pwn your pc even if the graphic settings are all on low, then it's worth it. Otherwise why not just wait a few years and get it on the cheap later on. I personally don't mind waiting a few years to play a game. I feel like there are so many good games from the 90s/00s/early and mid 10s that I don't really need an expensive PC if I'm willing to just wait a while. Only game I'm interested in currently that probably needs a high end computer is Cyberpunk 2077. Probably won't play it for 2 or 3 years though.
  11. It's 2020 where I am. The decade of the future. It looks weird just looking at the date. My brain hasn't adjusted yet.
  12. I wish my eyesight was 2020
  13. Morning Myth was the first track I heard by him like a year or two before I found out about Aphex/Autechre/Squarepusher/etc. Listened to like half of his and Kettle's albums before I found out about anybody else. Which is kinda odd now that I think back to it.
  14. I'm on episode 6 now, still enjoy the show. It swings between good and cheesy and bad at times but is still entertaining to watch. The only problem for me is that I find myself caring/interested about only a few characters when they are going for a GoT vibe. am i missing something with this show? watched 4 episodes, none of it makes any sense. the continuity and story seems all messed up? is it jumping around in time? why are people who died turning up again? what the fuck is going on? yes there are 3 separate timelines that come together, each a few decades apart. You actually see many of the same characters at different times in their life. It all comes together nicely as you get further in the season. I'm at episode 6 and I understand the whole thing. I'd say episode 3 is for sure the best episode so far. I can get that. It at times makes me feel like I'm watching one of those kinda cheesy 90s fantasy TV shows like Xena the Warrior Princess. It is definitely an inconsistent show, and since it jumps around so often focusing on different characters I find myself kinda skipping a few scenes per episode since I only like two characters in particular. You should give episode 3 a try it's definitely better that the first two.
  15. That I'm actually really digging the new trailer. It seems like a really good idea to go the small town route. 80s nostalgia at it's finest I suppose.
  16. Have watched first three episodes of The Witcher. Definitely was interesting but episode 3 is definitely the 'hook' episode that makes you wanna watch the rest of the season.
  17. I quite literally bought this last night off gog due to the sale.
  18. LG joins the FBI with Laurie and solves crimes with the overarching plot to get Night Owl out of prison. I'm game.
  19. Ah also anyone here think there should be a season 2? No earthly clue where they could go since the show not only wraps up itself, but also wraps up the original comic. I do wish there was more of Looking Glass and Laurie. I feel they really didn't get much to do in the finale.... well they did an important thing though it didn't feel like it. IDK what they would do with LG but Laurie still needs to get Night Owl out of prison.
  20. I remember thinking that the only good part of Elfen Lied was that first scene or episode with the lady with the telopathic powers and thought I was in for a really interesting show after first seeing it. But really that is the best part of the whole show, and it quickly becomes similar to one of those Harem animes. Btw if you haven't seen Mushishi, you must. Probably the best Anime I saw in 2019 at least. When I first saw him I knew it was Petey. I think he was the only person with that body type in the show.
  21. Episodes 5-8 was some of the best TV this year. Basically all the origin story episodes from Looking Glass to the episode before the finale. However the finale while alright didn't quite live up to what the show was building up. Though I'd say it was still satisfactory enough.
  22. A side note for anyone interested in CBD. I've tried out like 5 different brands and only like 2 did anything for me. They were both 'full spectrum' as well which has a tiny bit of TBH and 3/4 other cannabinoids, but mostly CBD. oh yeah. I took a lot of CBD once, still within the safe limit, just to see if it was anything like THC. All it did was just make me fairly tired, but interestingly enough I was tired without any other side effects many OTC sleep medications give you and felt 'normal tired' like it was time for me to sleep. Most peeps who really like CBD say they take it to alleviate anxiety. I don't have chronic anxiety or anything so I'm not sure how much it helps on that front. I took it before a presentation at work and couldn't tell if it was affecting me.
  23. Tell em this is who you really are (((on the inside))):
  24. I've been taking CBD oil on and off for a few weeks now and I've got to say this is the best legal thing for sleep ever.
