  1. Seem to remember a few years back PRS for music (a royalty services for recording artists) having their database open to the public (now closed off without an account: https://searchworks.prsformusic.com/ ) where it definitively showed The Tuss being Richard, but there were no other surprises on there. Pretty sure any releases hitting the Top 40 back then would've had him credited on there somewhere.... EDIT: actually looks like it might've been BMI not PRS - https://forum.watmm.com/topic/70627-steinvord-speculation/page/30/#comment-1970788
  2. If it's available to you, and you have a spare 35 minutes - watch episode 1 of the Korean TV show 'Bargain'. Don't watch any trailers, don't read up on it, just go in blind and see what you think !
  3. Guessing the acquisition is down to Epic Games trying to recoup some cash from their recent huge losses - Blame Fortnite I guess (what a strange world we're in where a game dictates the fate of a music platform !)... - https://en.as.com/meristation/news/epic-games-ceo-blames-fortnite-for-the-companys-massive-layoffs-of-almost-1000-workers-n/

    The KLF

Wondered what was different in the above from the original as this was exactly how I remembered it sounding..... then I remembered the version I've heard the most is exactly that mix as it's the opening track to this Orb remix compilation:
  5. Anyone know of any long form tracks that are more 'happy' drone rather than soundtracks to dark and scary worlds ? Love that kinda thing at time but also like the occasional relaxing break to push in contented feelings into my ears and brain, like a nice quiet walk down the road on a warm autumn afternoon and the sun throws a golden heat and light at everything. Have an example here (the first 43minutes), not actually sure who the artist is (unless maybe there's an artist called 'Ambient Music') as I don't think it's anything Hildur Guðnadóttir did for the soundtrack: It's obviously a thin tightrope between 'happy' drone and New-Age (which is a little too cring inducing for me), so I'm looking for something that still has that sort of introspective/melancholy vibe like the above piece.
  6. I love Web3.blah - just so streamlined and inclusive I'm guessing it's this collection available on Boomkat - https://boomkat.com/products/the-nid-tapes-electronic-music-from-india-1969-1972-ee4cf7fb-55ce-48c1-86f2-4de084e9b66b

  8. Sounds like he's talking about the amount of live sets out there as bootlegs ('leaks') rather than their own soundboards, and most of them are on archive.org but the '94 Sankey's set ( https://www.loudmemories.com/concerts/autechre-at-sankeys-manchester-manchester-uk-on-26-november-1994-8226484 ) isn't and he likes that one. Mayhaps the set this came from:
  9. R-Gent maybe ? Think you can hear a slightly sped up version of the main watery drone through the track....
  10. Nah must've been before that - I'm assuming my 'sorry' was in reference to its (then) overuse. It might've come about originally from that guy who posted progress in EKT of construction of wooden acoustic panels, and then ripped into everyone for not appreciating the nulls (and would post continually posts tracks at something like 81% speed for some reason). I could be wrong but I thought it might've been the same person that referred to the Analord .flac releases when they were briefly available on Rephlex as 'digital vinyls/vinals' Was is maybe this thread ?
  11. Can't remember what release it was on (Analord maybe ?) but I believe it was a WATMM 'taking the piss' term (see also 'nulls') referring to a music file as 'digital vinyls' (I believe it might actually be spelled: 'digital vinals')
  12. Here's a 5 minute extract/video There's something odd I can't quite put my finger on with this video .... there's an unusually high level of detail in the CGI sets and an unusually high number of locations - but the edits/cuts don't really have much bearing on the audio. Was this video from some other project and it's been tacked on to this track ?!?
  13. Kinda wish it was more 'cop show dadfunk'.... thinking that'd be more like that soundtrack project FSOL (As Amorphous Androgynous) did called The Cartel: The nearest simile I can get with his recent output is that it's like sad ghosts listening to their spookPods during a melancholy haunting
  14. Using OSC is probably your best bet:
  15. Need to watch that one again - Seem to remember the late 90s/early 00s CGI and editing style being a bit .... yikes in comparison to the first two
  16. Wondering if the video at 3.01 where it goes all organ-arpy is a reference (both sound and visual wise) to: (^ From Koyaanisqatsi if you've not seen it)
  17. Now *THAT* is more like it ! Great track, was unsure at the start but actually got goosebumps towards the latter third with the prolonged build up - The first I've had from the man since Commissions ii (Side B)
  18. Was going to lament the lack of a Windows build (been eying that collection up for over a decade) but .... eeeeeeekkk seems like we're finally gonna get something :

    AE_Live 2022

The last two minutes of the Turin set sound like this has fallen into the Ae machines:
  20. Fantastic - Thanks @Joyrex It's dark, I can post and I'm wearing sunglasses.
  21. Apologies, could only post with images until I found the fix just now ( https://forum.watmm.com/topic/96926-forum-discussionissues/page/82/#comment-2956147 ) and that was the closest I could express my feelings for the burn I'm still feelings from spending Im-not-sure-how-much-but-definitely-too-much on that limited 3 Freaks 12'' with 3 variations of that same horrible song repeated on each side of the vinyl !
  22. I've got it I've got it I've got it - It's the themes : @Joyrex 'WATMM after dark' (the one I use) and 'WATMM Muted (Dark)' appear to need updating to work on this version of the forum software. Switching to another (right at the bottom of the page) other than those two and you can type
