  1. in "theaters" bah.. lol. christian cinema is some weird shit. yesterday i caught a few minutes of TBN religious channel and they had a full on 30 minute infomercial type talk show about CBD supplements. went full QVC and sold them on air.
  2. we all like what we like. i think the valhalla verbs are great.. i use all of them. his delay is one of my favorite things. it's just amazing and so good for everyday delay stuff but for sound design weirdness it's exceptional and it even makes some nice reverbs.. plus.. for $50 they far exceed their asking price. the talk i posted is pretty good all around reverb info.he gives lot's of thoughts and opinions on many other verbs and verb types as well as why he made the choices he did in his reverbs. ubermod and shimmer and the valhalla spacemodulator freebie are tops.
  3. btw if anyone is interested.. here's sean costello of valhalla giving a talk about reverbs.
  4. mostly valhalla but also fabfilter verb, Flux ircam verb3 (got in a bundle one year for super cheap holiday price. really great verb), also use logic reverbs and convolution reverbs space designer. for sound design weirdness there's nothing that comes close to 2caudio B2. it can do all kinds of metalic pseudo granular bendy type reverbs https://www.2caudio.com/products/b2 hardware pretty much just the tiptop audio Zdsp w/valhalla cards and the mariana trench feedback network. will throw in unfiltered audio BYOME for multiFX type verbs. it's really excellent for endless type lush reverbs with other things going on.
  5. i'm sensing a trend.. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/amber-rudd-resign-boris-johnson-cabinet-conservatives-brexit-a9096146.html
  6. i love that movie. beginning to end. the opening w/the big synth sounds and that bass. it's so focused and that beginning is all drama. classic stuff. and fucking diabeetus wilford brimley
  7. rise to high heights in the white house. one week you're getting coffee and then suddenly you're negotiating with house of saud https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/09/06/white-house-announces-jared-kushners-former-coffee-boy-new-middle/
  8. didn't know he has a brother. i'm american noob. "PM's brother quits as Tory MP and minister" https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-49594793
  9. ^^^ oh great. let's break the postal system so we can move forward w/privatizing it. these derps have no idea about what a "public good" is. regarding the NRA - it's pre columbine but it hit the stratosphere then for sure.. it was steadily gaining influence for quite a while before that.. certainly in the 80s. but for a long long time it was a gun safety organization... though it was full of racists in the south who feared black people. and coincidentally it sort of had its birth when the KKK was made illegal.
  10. you have to remember that before the 2nd amendment people there were gun regulations.. back when the NRA was basically just a gun education group that taught people to be safe w/guns and how to shoot etc. but then it got really political and became a lobby group. a lot of long time NRA members left the NRA at this time. we've always had guns but there were rules in place.. but capitalism took over and marketing and sales and all that shit. most people thought the guns laws we had and gun regulation were reasonable. you can't own a fully automatic 50 caliber tommy gun etc.. lot's of guns were made illegal. most people agreed it was the right thing to do. it's only in this modern ERA of the NRA that triggered all conservative gun people to get political that we have all this drama over the 2nd amendment.

scorched earth boris. who knew? and wtf. scotland must be worried he'll suspend parliament up there as well. wtf. calculated move. is there going to be people in the streets protesting? general strike? anything? seems an ideal time to go all french about it and get in the streets and throw some shit. also, 'temporary' suspending parliament.. let's hope it's only temporary.
  15. here's some stuff that won't matter i guess... trump received loans cosigned by russian billionaires. https://www.inquisitr.com/5603123/donald-trump-loans-russia/ deustche bank has his tax returns https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/ywav3x/deutsche-bank-basically-just-confirmed-they-have-trumps-tax-returns-that-should-make-him-nervous?utm_source=reddit.com. epstein's lawyers, like the rest of us, are skeptical of suicide ruling. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/27/jeffrey-epsteins-lawyers-skeptical-of-suicide-ruling.html he probably cares more about this picture than anything though.
  16. 97 degrees today.. gonna be 99 tomorrow. came home from work today and my AC not working. yay! at least the basement is cool. but wtf. of all days.
  17. coltrane can be pretty intense. he was on another level. in space. for similar "outside of genre" type stuff there's a few miles davis releases that fit the bill.. Big Fun, Panthallassa - the music of Miles Davis - bill laswell project that's one of my favorite things. it's all the stuff that happened in the studio around the "on the corner" recordings and in a silent way. he got ahold of the master recordings from capitol and put them back together in a way that, he says, is more representative of what happened in the studio. and of course it has the benefit of being mixed on more modern gear - neve console. it sounds great. anyway... here's a track from big fun that is deeper than deep once it bottoms out and gets spacious and here's panthallassa. i recommend tracking down the CD if you're into this kind of stuff. also, william fields played live recently and recorded it and posted it for DL on soundcloud.. i haven't listened to it yet. ?
