I spoke too soon with this. Things took a major nosedive in season 26, too many contrived topical episodes and not enough laughs. It has mostly been a slog since then and I'm only on season 28. Occasionally there'll be a good one, and a clever joke here and there, but yeah whatever revival I was sensing died in season 26 and has yet to reappear. Why are they still going, seriously? Anyone else want more Shobaleader One?/What do we want next outta Tom?

Just a souvenir could have been a great album but it is unlistenable because of the terrible tinny mixing. I have no idea what he was thinking with that. Quite a shame. -
They hit Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver in 2015. I was totally out of the loop at the time tho

My fav of the non-ae-sounding gescom tracks (probably Bola on this one?)

I guess preparing a 16-hour album does take a fair bit of time...

Soundcloud laying off 20% of their workforce

Pretty annoying how they removed the "Reject all" option from the cookies popup, now you have to individually click to reject each one every time. And I mean every time. Soundcloud could be so great but they find lots of little ways to make it shitty lol -

The latest from Matthewdavid. Almost missed this. Very textural, mostly beatless, psychedelic, gorgeous. Based on experiences with psychedelic mushrooms. There's a montly-subscription to LEAVING RECORDS option that includes a massive slab of back catalogue and access to everything new they release. I was really into their stuff about ten years ago and feeling a big revival coming. Fantastic label, and MD always delivers. He also put out "On Mushrooms" earlier this year

Oh yeah there's a lot of gold in that batch too. Meeting in the Aisle is such a cool and weird anomaly of a track. Polyethylene was an old fav as well. Hmm this takes me back

The Amnesiac b-sides are all stellar. Fast-track, the Amazing Sounds of Orgy, Trans-Atlantic Drawl, Kinetic, Worrywort, Cuttooth, Fog. Some are better than stuff that ended up on the album, imo. What a great period that was. I bought a lot of those singles on CD. They're worthless now of course but at the time I thought I was a cool collector
