  1. You rather ask comrad putin to be allowed to listen to an ae album?
  2. Digital vinyls are cheap. Forget about those physical slabs of fossil garbage. We Are The Music Makers | Volume One by Various
  3. Interesting explanation of LLMs by Karpaty. I expect non-computer scientists to be able to understand a lot of what he is trying to explain. He speaks in a very computer science kind of way, but is still accessible, imo. Roughly 42 minutes in, he talks about what he expects is possible in a few years. He lists a bunch of things that LLMs would be able to do. In short, think of the movie “Her”. LLMs will be able to communicate with each other. Singularity, here we come!
  4. I think it’s better to watch out for the us vs them rhetoric. Thats close to half of the people who vote you’re talking about. People voting for him probably think government/ the establishment/ politicians are a massive con. Trump is the lesser evil. You’d be better off asking how big of a con they think all the other stuff is compared to Trump. They have less trust in government/the establishment/ politicians. At least Trump talks like they do. The next video gives a good explanation of why people support populists like him
  5. It's more cynical, I think. He uses that language because he knows it energizes his base. He's doing exactly what he needs to do to get those people to turn up and vote for him in the election. His biggest issue might be potential trump voters not voting. I really think he's more shrewd than people give him credit for. Shrewd in the most cynical sense of the word.
  6. Boss Core 2:40 in gives me classic black dog vibes. Love those synth melodies against stubborn beats.
  7. Yeah, appreciated this ^^^ Appreciate the attempt to explain a complex situation. It’s frustrating the political reality seems in the way of solving it though. But that’s what happens when people are resentful and have little or no trust in government/politics/ authorities/ people with opposing views , I’m afraid.
  8. I liked Karma. But this one hasn’t caught my interest yet. The production is brilliant. But musically.. there’s just not enough to my ears. Most of the time I catch myself thinking: “ yeah nice, but where are you going with this?” And then the track seems to go nowhere in particular. So it becomes a collection of beautifully crafted ideas that go nowhere. These are first impressions. It will take an effort to get to the point where i will “get it”. I’m not feeling what you are feeling…
  9. Interested to hear comments on whether the new stuff is any good. But I'm a bit weary due to all the "artistic" trolling. I'm still hoping they put their old stuff up on bandcamp. Which is unlikely to happen, I guess.
  10. you and your buddies kept your cool! well done. not being triggered is like a victory the walls are finally starting to crumble. this georgia case looks like it will get there yes yes!
  11. Not many buyers on bleep, i guess. I bought the Bandcamp version. As I mostly prefer buying digitals from bandcamp. Kenny is hugely underrated, imo. Love his work. Especially his earlier stuff. (corbomite maneuver as dark comedy)
  12. This worries me a bit because the last time I went to AE-gigs (around 2005) those experiences helped me appreciate their then-current music more. Untilted is one of those albums. Listening to Untilted at home initially, I thought it was a bit dry. It was AE going techno. But after seeing them live, I started to appreciate it more. In a live setting, it has a different impact. The context changes the music. But reading your experiences, I wonder whether I'll be able to appreciate these live sets more. Because I kind of agree with you. These sets don't click with me. There are some bits and pieces I can enjoy, but only for a short amount of time. After a while, the music starts to become obnoxious and annoying. It's very demanding without a reward. And I simply have to skip. And if having listened to them live doesn't help, I don't know what will.
  13. Novovax, that's Russian owned, right? We don't want to fund the war in Ukraine, do we?
  14. Yes! Trump wants the best for us normal people! The non-billionaires. He acts out of pure kindness and integrity. He. And he alone.
  15. I was assuming it was a copy paste from some pro trump reddit. Could be me living under a rock, but he usually doesn’t post like this right? Such a mindf#ck. Am I in, or not? Summon.exe, was it reddit, chatgpt or having fun role playing?
  16. Basically the idea is that communism tends to evolve into what you see in North Korea. Or put differently, you have various kinds of power structures for societies. And where there are power structures, there's also corruption of power. Or rather, the tendency to move into corrupt directions, if unchecked. In the case of North Korea you see an example where communism devolves towards. On the opposite side you could put the US. Whether or not they're equally corrupt is up for you to decide. But the comparison between both North and South Korea should be an obvious one, imo. The starting point was the same. The ending point...well yeah.
  17. I remember digital vinyls being a xlt thing. But that was a long time ago. Wouldn’t surprise me if the use of digital vinyls popped up in multiple places around that time. As digitals really became a thing. Maybe the Rephlex shop coined the term .
