  1. I'm not gonna pretend to be able to tell whether marhide is using a real or sampled 808
  2. At least since the time of Quaristice, catalog number 333.
  3. As someone pointed out, the catalog numbers both add up to 14. Plus, SIGN has au14. And PLUS has X4, and X is roman numeral for ten so X4 could be a way of saying 14. Also, si00 could be a cryptic reference to fourteenness, since silicon is element 14 and chemical symbol Si.
  4. I'm not usually one to be so meanspirited but... we should all listen to Quaristice in appreciation of his doing so I mean I can understand not liking Exai onwards to some extent but my G-d what kind of monster posts regularly on the Ae subforum and doesn't like Quaristice in 2020?!?!?!
  5. I'm curious, I didn't dislike the singing on Age Of but I did find it kinda weird. My faves of his have been R Plus Seven, Replica, and Garden of Delete. But I'll give it a shot
  6. https://steveroach.bandcamp.com/track/optimal-being
  7. Everything else I've heard from Clipping has been great, so I am looking forward to listening to this
  8. Well, this was excellent. And you said it, andrd. SVBKVLT kill it. Hyph11e and 33EMYBW are for my tastes far and away the best artists of the whole so called "deconstructed club" movement. Their music may be experimental but it certainly is also very danceable and not necessarily too hard to fit into a DJ set
  9. Sorry, Rian, I'll always think of you as Mark Fell's son. But I still enjoy your tunes, too.
  10. But this is a nice little "aural voyage" for the ears. I get that kinda narrative feeling more easily sometimes from stuff with this much emphasis on rhythm and sequencer use
  11. That he is. I blind bought some digitals of this, which I wouldn't normally do. I'm not the biggest fan of obviously sequenced as opposed to more immersive atmospheric side, like Lianne says above. But I do enjoy his music, so I don't really regret it. I just should maybe have not been so quick to buy this as I was.
  12. Can't wait. Love Lou's music and still bummed I missed hearing him last year but I had fun at the show I did go to.
  13. I've greatly enjoyed other things HHY has done and that appear on Nyege Nyege Tapes, so count me the fuck in!
  14. Oh November not October, my bad. As you were. I'll be happy to wait some more, since I'm still enjoying digesting SIGN
  15. Thank you Sean! I'm worried that SIGN stands for Sean Is Going Nuts. Because of how tired he is of "sean pls" so again, much thanks to Sean and Rob for the amazing ch00nz
  16. We're currently at exactly a week since the 20th so keep thinking
  17. Hey Aefx do you still have that interview about Chiastic where they mention mushrooms? http://autechre.net.ua is down
  18. Necrobump. This is actually one of the vaporwave albums I most enjoy.
  19. Loved this and even ordered the CD. I love the combination of the Fourth World sound with dancier vibes. Great stuff
  20. Haven't listened to anything by this guy in aaaaaaages, used to dig Hala Strana and Ulaan Khol. This could be neat. Digging this first cut. I feel like he should start some project with Roy Montgomery, they'd have great musical chemistry together.
  21. I'll have to take a looksee, I've enjoyed The Sea & Cake and other related bands in the orbit of Gastr del Sol and Tortoise before
  22. "Rare Earth" indeed. Sounds neat. I am very excited for this resurgence of "Fourth World" as an influence on dancier musics
