DJ Stingray 313 - INDUSTRY 4.0 EP

Recommended Posts

DJ Stingray 313's INDUSTRY 4.0 EP is a sonic exploration into modern manufacturing concepts and the impact on humanity.

Moods and titles across the EP cover artificial intelligence (LARGE LANGUGE MODEL), the internet, and robotics (MULTI FUNCTIONAL ROBOTICS and SENSOR DATA) – all set to his signature high-energy, industrial, cyborg-style productions.

Together, the tracks on INDUSTRY 4.0 work as a striking and current introspective of humanity’s uncertain evolution, moving as fast as the technology it creates.

Does he? He seems very busy DJing around the globe, I can't complain. He also released this a month ago

Seems I missed this! Thanks! Also a very good track.

FTNWO released 12 years ago and to my knowledge his last EP release was in 2021. Im just saying id love to see a more consistent release schedule. Aqua Team is one of the all timers

Yes, of course if you like the artist you feel like it's never enough. In the meantime, there are also tons of remixes released the past years, not sure if you are aware of them. Some are incredible. You have ~40 in this playlist:

F yes. I really dig the subgenre name, Cybertech. 🤖 Also you can't miss this badboy:

Quote

What is cybertech?

Cybertech is differentiated from it's closest cousins, electro and techno, by eschewing a nostalgia fetish and lack of innovation often predominating contemporary genres.

As those genres grow ever increasingly homogenised, derivative and weak cybertech has become more laser focused in a direction towards a new sonic vision.

Having it's genesis in the mid 2010s with pioneers such as DJ Stingray and Galaxian. It relates closely with elements of vivid sound design, unusual rhythmic patterns, innovative sounds, using 21st century techniques & tools.

It's mood will often be one of tough, technotic patterns, metallic percussion, interspersed with otherworldly soundscapes, intricate effects, hyper-dynamic song structure.

As drum & bass and dubstep consumed themselves, eventually birthing new hybrid "post" genres, cybertech sets it sights on expanding as a genre, spirit and ethos for the "post" electro & techno age.

tracks are all good, each has its own nice little weird flavor to it, but damn are they short, felt each of them got cut in half or something. i’m all for a nice tight track, especially for certain genres of dance that’s important, but these all felt like they were just about to get going and then it’s over.

its good tho, good good stuff.

I have to agree with the consensus, its great stuff, clanking, industrial but still futuristic in the best Drexciyan style but I feel like a 10 minute EP after such a sparse release schedule has only aroused my appetite without bedding it back down again.

Wicked little release.

LLM was giving me some Richard Devine vibes with the perc à la Lip Swith, specifically Kepter.

Agree that the tracks feel too short, would love some 10 min+++ versions.
