It's the first film I've seen Rogen in where it felt like he wasn't just playing a version of himself. It's also a bit darker than the stuff he usually does with Apatow. And Seth Rogan movie promos are full of that shit. I don't really go out of my way to watch his films. Ive seen superbad though. It was pretty forced comedy Id say. Guest zaphod Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 observe and report was funny. reminded me of bad santa. it really went further than i was expecting, and as some people have pointed out, the humor just sort of catches up with you and you start laughing at everything. or at least that happened to me. despite the fact that he shows up in a million movies now, i've actually liked a few of them. pineapple express was one of my favorite movies of last year. i don't like judd apatow at all though, everything he touches seems to turn shit, at least when he directs. freaks and geeks is classic though...so i guess i'm indifferent to the seth rogan bandwagon, almost.
