what are your favorite record labels?

i've taken to listening to music by just working through lists of names on a label. it's invigorating because often i have no idea what i'm hearing, no context or critical baggage. so i'm wondering what some of watmm's favorite record labels are. ones that have gone under, still crank out great music, or even like warp, were once great and now have succumbed to trends and fads.

what are your favorite record labels?

Guest Helper ET

ive bought several (less than 5) warp releases over the years, then i faded out of it and now i dont care

what ive never understood though is why everyone went all anti warp. im not defending them, i just dont understand what happened to warp - post afx i imagine?

i heard they started releasing guitar type music and hip hop and some rapping shit and what have you. is this true? why do people hate warp now? i think i own less than 5 warp releases, and im totally confused at all the warp hatred. i imagine its because they used to be wicked and now they blow?

gimme an example of one of the best warp releases, compared to one of the worst...i want to hear them both. if you guys are gonna hate on warp all time, you can at least show me why

Agreeing with ET, I discovered warp quite recently and never knew it's "golden era" (if there's one). Today I really like this label, their releases and their image. Other favourite label of mine are crydamoure and roulé, after a quite long ed banger/kitsuné/institube period. I'm an incult.
