VERY poor selection this year, very disappointed. I was gonna mention Asperger's Syndrome and The Fibonacci sequence in the first thread, but I was too late.

 

However, it was a nice surprise to see Une Mission Ephemer get a mention in the list. That is definitely high up there. Just a reminder:

I'm really hoping it will be a toss up between 1 dimensional universe and pizza in the final round. Can you imagine a watmms pizza compilation? Fuck me that will be stupid(ly awesome). I can't even think of a clever new genre title for that one. Beardstep had a real nice flow to it.

Since this is a IDMZ forum, and 99% of the members is on Prozac (or other medication) it's surely the most idm thing.

also, now that I've seen those monuments I know they are IDM. It's our only hope. Perhaps we could have a 25 track album with each of us sonically describing a monument.

windows 95 tribute album has huge potential - the glitches, win95 sound pack, slow internet, running things from DOS because it just took a shitload of memory, problems with drivers, etc.

 

btw, i thought the brainstorming phase was way too short, last time there was a really huge selection..if im not mistaken.

Brainstorming in 2010 was 2 days. so was the 2011. There were a lot more entries last year than this.

 

about 240ish in 2010, about 125 in 2011.

 

If anything, this selection phase is taking too long since I plan to close it on sunday and start the tournament on Monday.
