  1. i have taken lot's of xanax back in the day when it was prescribed to me. had to gradually taper off over a year or so and it was really difficult. i've taken it maybe 3 times since then. recently for an MRI. it worked like a charm but 2 days later i had a weird anxiety bump from it i think. was like a mini GABA fuck up or something. so, i stick to very low dose valium when needed. also prescribed as a band aid for dealing with Meniere's symptoms. low dose valium works well. i only took it because long flight, no sleep night before etc.. also, 3 hour drive to atlanta airport from western north carolina mtns which is seriously wiggly roads that gave me some car sickness nausea vibes. ugh. needed the power of valium to guide me through those first hours of the plane ride. but yeah, xanax is a really useful tool when you just need to surrender and not care about anything.
  2. i listened to Draft on a cross country flight yesterday and realized i was wearing the new Draft 7.30 shirt. i looked up at the screens on the backs of seats to see someone was watching john wick and someone else was watching sleepless in seattle. i wished the movies could merge and tom hanks and meg ryan could all be in on a crazy gun fight with keanu. no idea what this has to do w/anything but it's where my sleep deprived brain was yesterday. oh yeah, had to take low dose valium because all the things.
  3. n + 1 it's a rule. you must buy the bike.

  5. i stepped into a polaris 4 wheeler today. it has a roll bar/cage and i bumped my head directly on the button of the cap i'm wearing and it made a small dent in my head. jfc.
  6. shit. he was the best in so many things. legend. RIP
  7. selected ambient works 85-92. he even called it his 'pop album' also, maybe just make a playlist of a bunch of happy accessible aphex stuff + windowlicker pop music is a pretty wide valley these days.. there's some pretty creative and weird stuff that falls into pop these days.. and lot's of typical fluff.. but the modern production techniques/sound design proliferated to pop trends long ago.
  8. but they are. there's videos of those kinds of talks in this thread. several people suggesting measures.. some even saying to dismantle free market capitalism etc.. but there's more bread and butter type suggestions/guidance being proposed as well.. it's just that no one in any position of power is really listening to them... they're too busy playing politics and doing things to protect the interests of their donors and doing whatever it takes to keep the status quo profitable.. aside from some green initiatives here or there or doing lip service to ideas they never embrace at a policy level.
  9. My broker tracks AFX on the nasdaq exchange.
  10. the drone footage is crazy and there's some stuff on twitter that just shouldn't be there. soldiers running through trenches and meeting head on and exterminating each other but mostly it's russians dying and ukranians filling them with lead from 3ft away. it's nuts.
  11. early on when all this started someone said "this would be like if the USA suddenly attacked Toronto". it seemed nuts to a lot of people but some people didn't understand just how fucking crazy this was to do.
  12. looks like that wagner dude is putting his money where his mouth is and heading towards moscow.
  13. CEO of oceanGate in conversation ^^^^ full of hubris it seems. as a billionaire that one dude should've had some kind of special ops rescue crew at the ready.. not that it would've helped. it's sad story and i'm sorry people died but seems like a lot of people saw this coming. there's many stories already of people who were interested indoing something like this who passed on the opportunity for safety reasons.
