Guest the televisor
Has some fuckin class songs on, BUT i think some of them are pointless, e.g gwely mernans, the one where peope are singing happy birthday... It would be a more solid album i reckon if it was one disc of all the brilliant ones, and the odd pointless ones just left. anyone else agrree or should i run and hide now from you forum beasts!??? Guest Laughable Butane Bob
I disagree vehemently, and that is his parents singing. Listen to his mother at the end, her harmony is SO FUCKING APHEX.

o00o
gwely mernans is one of the best songs on the album it feels like you are inside a helicopter when listening to it with bass-speakers
Guest AOOproductions
Naaa, the interludes are what make this album so aphexian. Plus every track is brilliant in its own way anyways.
Guest the televisor
yea i know i fuckin love the piano interludes, i think its just the odd tracks that seem pointless imo, still fuckin amazing album that tells a weird fucked up story i reckon
Berk
I think those odd tracks only add to the atmosphere the album has got going. And yeah I think the piano tracks are really beautiful as well, very much like Satie's work, hence RDJ mentioned in an interview Satie was one of his influences. There are reviewers that think these piano pieces are pointless, they should quit their job.
Guest SecondaryCell
Besides listening to Drukqs as intended I also like to make two playlists - one consisting of only the interludes and the other of only the "proper" tracks - makes for an interesting listen. Also, » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I think Drukqs is RDJ's masterpiece...

Qwely Mernans: I thought it was an alright track, it reminds me of his Selected Ambient tracks. Happy Birthday: I thought it went real nice with the second cd, especially after Btoum-Roumada, and before Penty Harmonium. Keeps me in a relaxed state. Guest FDR
the one where peope are singing happy birthday... I love lornaderek, first time I heard it I was falling asleep to drukqs after a brutal days work. I was in a pretty relaxed state until it came on and I was like "wtf is this." enki
Fuck all the Pitchfork-esque deconstructionism that ignorant prats so often see fit to drop. Drukqs is the absolute bomb, through and through. As for all the interludes and such, I cherish the Pavlovian response they trigger. Drukqs4life
Guest khyberpass
The album, for me, is a godlike masterpiece. Especially the interludes and asides. It all amounts to something that you can appreciate despite the fact that you'll never fully grasp it. Who listens to reviewers and critics, anyway? They get paid to masturbate on a mirror and tell themselves they're clever while making the same comparisons they've been making for a decade. Dicks.
