Soooo, how climate friendly is electronic music anyways? Out of all kinds of music, it probably ranks as one of the most eco-unfriendly. All the energy and materials required. Let alone those tapes and vinyls the peeps want to buy.

/b*tch ?

if we follow that logic, we should be thanking BoC for not releasing more albums ?

Donnie already flat-out called Thunberg a Nazi. Go figure. The disheartening part is that his lies and gaslighting are still having a major influence on the populace.

also Dinesh is a "top-tier" right-wing scumbag and grifter, he's exercising some prime mental gymnastics here

  • he's literally retweeted neo-Nazis in the past
  • he's a convicted felon
  • likely playing his non-white token card too
  • right-wing pundits only use Nazism to criticize left-wing ideology
  • he's utilizing a tried and true fascist tactic of occasional self-criticism  / contradictory rhetoric - Nazis did this all of the time, right down to their "National Socialist" name which was specifically aimed at drawing in naive socialists and left-leaning voters in their early years while simultaneously dismantling and attacking actual socialists. their police state actions and oppression was totally anti-communist propaganda at it's core, so much so that the nationalist, traditionalist, and anti-Semitic rhetoric was built on top of it and not the other way around.

yeah I'm super cynical. I really doubt anything will be fixed. The rich DGAF, they are rich enough to shield themselves from adverse effects indefinitely. And the conservatives who don't believe in climate change, or just think it's overblown, think they are more intelligent than they are and have incredibly bad reasoning skills. It's not a hard thought to defer to what scientists say, and when most of them independently agree on something, that thing is probably right. But I suppose you need the initial belief that science for most scientists is a passion based thing and not a secret conspiracy to impose liberal ideas on conservatives.

70%-80% of the people I associate with on a daily basis are conservative, and the ones that don't believe in climate change have real shitty, tribal reasons for not doing so, and the ones that do think it should be up the corporations to step up and do something about it because "government has never done anything right". They just don't get how corporations work , lol. The reality is, there won't be a motive for corporations UNTIL THERE IS FALLOUT from this crap. So it'll be much too late.

So yeah, I'm of the opinion nothing will be done about climate change really until idk.... 2050. We'll probably still have people debating whether it's even real or not, even if temperature/weather/etc. records keep getting smashed.

I was watching the news early into the morning the other day and they asked an old man if climate change was an important subject for the upcoming Canadian election. No joke he said that it didn't concern him because it wouldn't affect him in his life time and it's ok if the weather gets a bit warmer. I was like, w t f l o l .

It'll probably start happening again in 50 or so years if we don't do anything about climate change now, but at least mass starvation is not one of our current problems.

until there’s literally no such thing as starvation or homelessness i’m gonna have to disagree

I still demand an official disambiguation of the term "boomer". Does it mean someone born between the end of WWII thru the start of the Vietnam War? Or is it an early 30-something drinking a can of Monster Zero and playing Quake a la 2018? Or is it a cute name for an explosive?

boomer isnt an age, its a mindset

*sip*

to "boom" is to buy a gas guzzler corvette, thus you are a "boomer" if you fuck over future generations so you can listen to black sabbath unironically in your yacht
