Overall, I didn't care for the electronic scene, but James Kirby and The Fiery Furnaces siblings made some excellent albums. 2010 was way more eventful for me. 1. Matthew Friedberger - Old Regimes 2. Leyland Kirby - Eager to tear apart the stars 3. Eleanore Friedberger - Last Summer 4. Matthew Friedberger - Napoleonette 5. The Caretaker - An Empty Bliss Beyond this World 6. Leyland Kirby - Intrigue and Stuff (Vol. 1) 7. Locust Toybox - Noon 8. Battles - Gloss Drop (Ice cream is my favorite single of the year) 9. Clint Mansell - Black Swan Soundtrack 10. Gonjasufi - The Ninth Inning The year isn't over though, I know Matthew Friedberger and James Leyland Kirby still have more albums planned, although they may be released next year. Sometimes it was just okay, sometimes it was pretty bad, but for the most part I'd say I found a lot of good stuff, with an occasional "wow this guy should be getting paid to do music for pants commercials" find.
