For me: Left Pocket - keys - bi-fold wallet (as of late, though I'm looking for a smaller wallet) - pen (Zebra F-300) - nail clippers (gotta keep 'em trimmed for guitar playing) - chapstick (for those 3-4 days out of the year that I need it, I'm endlessly grateful) Right Pocket - notebook (nifty moleskine knock-off) - cell phone (Droid) Tiny Right Pocket - guitar picks (Jazz III's) - a couple of pills for neck/back pain flare-ups Bag (Targus backpack) - water bottle - spiral notebook - an RPG book or two (currently Eclipse Phase and Tephra) - various smaller books (currently a sudoku book, Food Rules, and How to Write Science Fiction That Sells) - my Nook e reader - phone charger - deodorant - Biofreeze (topical analgesic for my neck/back) - a hat of some sort - a bag full of dice - a deck of cards - a couple of USB drives - more pills - various audio and USB adapters - some ear buds - a little multitool - small, disposable toothbrushes - hand sanitizer (which I never use honestly) - mechanical pencils - other random items (such as a DVD of Idlewild that I'm borrowing) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

luke viia Posted January 15, 2012 Share Posted January 15, 2012 front pockets: keys, phone, spare change for bus fare in case i can't find my bus pass. left back pocket: wallet. right back pocket: nothing, or relevant notes/to-do lists that have been scribbled down in a hurry. used to always have at least one RW Emerson essay in my back right pocket, but the pages started falling apart. bag: i'm in school, so (1) pad engineering paper, (1) binder for notes, (1) iPad/case/charger, (1) bottle of water, mechanical pencils, calculator, earbuds, 1/8 to 1/8 cord, and about half the time i have my zoom H4 recorder with me to be used as a four-track when i've got spare time and am outside the house, jamming on the iPad or whatever other instruments/noises are around. sometimes use it to record info-dense lectures. also keep a rain jacket in the bag in case of that sudden northwest downpour fuck shit. forgot to mention the giant demolition nail pullers poking slightly out of my bag (for easy access) that pack a serious fucking wollop to anyone thinking about scooting away with my loot.
