just biked in to say my favorite album of 2011, "Looping State of Mind" by The Field, was not even in the poll.

I went back and sure enough this was nominated for inclusion in the poll but never actually made it on the ballot, mea culpa. No one seemed to notice until now, or if they did, they didn't pipe up about it! In any event I'll return the blu-ray of unreleased steinvord tracks JR sent me for running the poll this year.

 

pissed i havent heard the andy stott yet. it's not on spotify and the vinyl is out of print. so i will never hear it i guess.

 

This is my favorite release of 2011 and defiantly worth hearing. There's a 2xCD version with bonus tracks, although copies seem to be disappearing much like the vinyls. The packaging is sexy as fuck too.
