xox
These days im using it more artistically and less as a mixing technique...like s.c.ing crazy delay line and reverb, gate on a noise generator with a delay track, usually things that are possible in ableton, but once you start doing it in max...the sky is limit. Anything with anything, so much that im not sure i would call it sidechaning any more.
TubularCorporation
never used it, dunno how or why i would want to tbh It's really useful if you're doing it the "right" way but as an effect it's about as overused as it can get right now, for sure. sheatheman
what you should do is sidechain track A to track B, but also sidechain track B to track A then you get a sidechain feedback loop
kausto
I use different type of sidechain compression technique on my FMR RNC a lot. I use it's sidechain insert to attenuate LF content with HP filter — it elliminates distortion artefacts in bass department and gives plenty of gain reduction so i can tighten stuff up more. Something similar you can find in Cytomic the Glue.
