  1. Objekt is always good. He makes weird soundscapes accessible
  2. yeah you're right. one of the tweaks i do is pull up the whites of the blacks in the histogram and i guess I've been doing it so much that i raised my tolerance for it so right now i cannot tell if its too much. its probably also because i have my phone luminosity too low so i cannot judge it that well. but anyway, I'm glad we're on the same page... :^) I know exactly what you mean, that's really a problem when editing pics: Your eye gets used to the setting you chose and then you tend to add more of it until you overdo it. I'm guilty of that too
  3. I like the colours and subjects but the blacks are a bit too gray for my taste! Makes it look like some Instagram filter. But especially the last pic could be great if the dynamics would be more natural. But that's of course subjective
  4. I wonder how one changes the aspect ratio of a film (I guess that's what you mean when saying widescreen transfer?). Is it originally shot in anamorphic widescreen and then reduced to the format that was common at these days and they just used the actual frame it was shot in for the remaster while the original master didn't use the sides of the frame? Or do they cut off upper and lower edges and resize it? I mean anamorphic lenses have been around for a long time so I wonder if they used to just cut off the left and right side to make it displayable appropriately on the old screen format which would allow it to widen the image for a new remaster if you have the raw footage/film rolls.
  5. quaterlake sounds nice! I like the kind of distortion you use
  6. I decided to get all of the four loose vinyl sessions but returned session 4 because of the crackling festival which was going on there. Will order a second copy. Isn't that the point of having vinyl? All the crappiness that comes with the format? If you want best possible audio quality you don't go for vinyl. You only buy vinyl for one of these four reasons: 1. You wanna have these analogue distortions that come with the format and that actually can sound nice. 2. You want to have a bigger physical thing to touch and look at. 3. You are fascinated by ancient technology. 4. You are some pretentious hipster
  7. agreed here's to hoping they continue releasing some more live sets I think it's not unlikely that they will release Onesix at some point. OOOf, that would be nice
  8. I'm not sure how I manage to wait a week between each episode. It's such a brilliant show in many aspects. The camera and colour grading alone makes it worth watching
  9. Oh yes, that drummer has a nice style. Kinda clean and minimalistic but still complex, lots of tempo changes. And yes, reminds more on Autechre than other drummers I've heard
  10. honestly and only in private: I sink the time when the clouds open that is the wrong time. I sink best time is when cloud close again at 2:20: I sink that is the best time 100%
  11. yeah, values like loyalty and docility are associated with these animals. people who hold these values in high regard are a special breed. Often upper middle class centre-right oriented people with a disposition to the old fashioned. being very tame themself they like their animal companions the same way
  12. the kick is smooth and buttery, I wanna bite it
