I looked at this title and just knew that it was gonna be a Hat thread. A quick scan across the page confirmed my instincts.

I cant remember where youre from so, are you talking about american mustard or british mustard.

American mustard is pretty much sugar I think.

wat?

to me, there's grey poupon and french's. i like both.

try adding grey poupon to a grilled cheese sandwich (before cooking, not after). you won't regret it

Err. The ingredients are usually vinegar and mustard seed...

i should note you can get thousands of different kinds of fancy mustards here in america. they're in cute little jars and largely purchased by starved middle-aged housewives. whatever you have in england, no matter how fancy, i'm sure you can get it here.

i prefer horseradish.

horseradish mustard ftw. seriously, i put it on tons of things, and 5 days a week at least I need something with it. Celery + horseradish mustard running through the middle is delicious

But this

is in no way similar to this

There's plenty of good, non-primary color mustard in the States, in whatever variety you'd like. That said, French's yellow stuff, which nobody I've ever met actually prefers, lists the following ingredients: Distilled Vinegar, Water, No.1 Grade Mustard Seed, Salt, Turmeric, Paprika, Spice, Natural Flavors and Garlic Powder. None of that seems particularly egregious.

Inglehoffer and Beaver are some good 'stards that you can find in any boring suburban supermarket.

I totally just wrote 'stards.

Anyway, this is great on deli sandwiches:
