Guest nene multiple assgasms

this is spinal tap. my favorite part is when the guy is playing his guitar solo with a violin and pauses for a second to adjust one of the tuning pegs on the violin. excluding stand-up specials, there aren't that many truly funny movies. I think most of them rely too much on peer pressure laughs.

I have to say This is spinal tap as well. Timeless stuff.

Groundhog day is fun, but maybe not that "funny".

I'm going to get poop thrown at me for this list...

Superbad

Observe and Report

Anchorman

The Pineapple Express

Talladega Nights

The Big Lebowski

The Life Aquatic (d'uh)

Blades of Glory

Hot Fuzz

Shaun of the Dead

Boogie Nights (it's not a comedy, but the comedic scenes are amazing)

Hot Shots + Hot Shots Part Deux

Get Him to the Greek

Groundhog Day

i agree with this entire list except maybe hot fuzz (which i never even finished, maybe i should give it another chance, dunno).

anyway, there are too many "classics" in this thread. comedy constantly evolves, and i can appreciate movies like naked gun or airplane or hot shots for what they were, and i thought they were hilarious back in the day, but i don't anymore, and im pretty sure i'll feel the same way about films like superbad or anchorman etc 20 years from now. this doesn't really apply to stand up comedy though for some reason (as in, 30 year old richard pryor or eddie murphy stuff can still make me lol).

but yeah, im not saying old comedies are bad, im just saying 99% of them doesn't make me laugh out loud anymore, they might get a smirk out of me because i remember how i used to think they were funny.

and to quote squee, I'm going to get poop thrown at me for this.
