I bet half of them don't know it's actually illegal same, the tv commercials for isp's literally advertise fast downloading speeds for movies, some even using particular movies titles. Of course we would know if we've torrented something, since we have to install the torrent client and then find a torrent etc...! Well it looks like it only tracks by IP... most residential internet connections have dynamic public IPs. So you probably got flagged on another IP which probably belongs to someone else by now.
