I asked the GPT-3 to write a black metal song about cute ponies

Quote

Kvlt ponies, so kvlt they're black
Cute little ponies, with hearts of purest void
Satanic creatures, from the deepest pits of Tartarus
They gallop across the blackened plains
Bringing death and destruction in their wake
Their cuteness is a facade, hiding their true nature
Beware the kvlt ponies, lest you be caught in their ebon hooves

Yes, you can see it doesn't really understand what the images actually are supposed to represent. Like the phone displays are not showing the same thing that's happening in front of them or the gladiators seem to be missing legs, etc. It just has a massive amount of 2D images and their descriptions to build the statistical models on and no understanding of the content.

That's actually a good thing, it should not know what it's doing there and just do it's own errors. These errors are the collaboration space that you can use to finalize the meme.

guardian article.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2022/jul/24/chess-robot-grabs-and-breaks-finger-of-seven-year-old-opponent-moscow

Quote

Last week, according to Russian media outlets, a chess-playing robot, apparently unsettled by the quick responses of a seven-year-old boy, unceremoniously grabbed and broke his finger during a match at the Moscow Open.

“The robot broke the child’s finger,” Sergey Lazarev, president of the Moscow Chess Federation, told the TASS news agency after the incident, adding that the machine had played many previous exhibitions without upset. “This is of course bad.”

Dall-E 2 lets you inpaint and expand/zoom out of images.

How did you do it exactly? I resized the canvas and uploaded it as png where you have a transparent 40% border around it. The I wrote “zoom out” but it just made some sort of weird motion blur around the edges instead of inventing the content that was missing

OK, theres a couple of ways, you can describe what you want added, or you can try 'expand image' or something similar. Id say that blur was from the word 'zoom'.

Update: it really depends on the context. Hail to the thief cover did not work at all like it was drawing random shit around it which made no sense at all while classical paintings worked really well when there was more of a scene that could be interpreted. Maybe the Radiohead cover was too abstract and it could not make sense out of it

Dall-E 2 has made me very, very curious about how the future will look for the arts. AI is mostly automating creativity, what will be the consequences?

artisanal art.
