  1. I have one of their albums in my library, I forget which one without looking, I really oughta give it more of a focused listen again... it's been a while, but I recall it being pretty good stuff
  2. Not a fan of her music at all, but I wouldn't mind doing naughty things with Carrie Underwood, bitch is fine
  3. Despite once being a "Toys R Us kid", and my efforts against it, I seem to be unable to prevent growing up... For those that don't get the reference:
  4. I know there's people on here who seem to hate the series, but honestly Dead Space 3 is pretty badass, the demo isn't totally reflective of actual gameplay so much as they just combined a bunch of stuff to show some of the new elements of the game... As for the full game, they've improved upon a lot of things both in terms of gameplay and graphics. For those worried about the new outdoor environments, fear not, the game still delivers in the more open maps, and you don't reach Tau Volantis until about 33% into the game (I've just gotten there not long ago myself), it still has that "Dead Space" feel and creepyness, very much so and it feels better than ever. Also, the new weapon creation system is pretty sweet and I've barely scratched the surface of it myself. I'm going through solo campaign first then plan to tackle some co-op online. (If anyone with a PS3 wants to join up shoot me a PM)
  5. Just be sure to stop after Micheal leaves for good, the show never really had the same steam after that... When is that? Wouldn't be able to watch this show without Michael. Not til the end of Season 7 I believe
  6. Just be sure to stop after Micheal leaves for good, the show never really had the same steam after that...
  7. I want a proper, return to form Silent Hill, done by Team Silent, like straight up Silent Hill 5, not Homecoming or Downpour or whatever spin-off
  8. I picked up Mario 64 for the first time since I was a kid, I've forgotten how to do mostly everything at this point so it's almost like playing for the first time again... I'm also realizing how unfamilliar I've gotten with 64 controls, making it a bit more challenging than I remember. I'll probably pick up Dead Space 3 eventually too... TBH I'm not fully opposed to the co-op. I'll do it solo first for the classic experience than try co-op with a friend. I'm more bothered by the new upgrade system than anything, but that may just take getting used to and familiar with.
  9. Started watching American Horror Story on Netflix tonight, definitely the dose of scaryness I've been fixing for. Only one episode in (no spoilers!!!) about to start the second and already I'm like "damn this is creepy"... It's fun to be scared sometimes. I can't watch many horror films with the gf because she gets nightmares easily, I think it's fun to be scared sometimes though. Enjoying it so far.
  10. Dealing with an ebay buyer protection case is a real pain in the ass... Seller is claiming he didn't receive my return I sent over 2 weeks ago. I want my fucking money back!
  11. I decided to give Frank Ocean's Channel Orange a listen after "Thinking About You" got stuck in my head. It's not my usual style of music, and I was skeptical about all the hype it's received... But I gotta say, I've warmed up to it pretty damn quickly. It's smooth and funky, and very well produced. The guy can sing pretty well and his lyrics are interesting. I think I just became a fan.
  12. Oh nice, I'm gonna have to try that spring roll recipe, I love spring rolls, but the local asian delivery place makes pretty shitty ones. Time to do it myself I guess.
  13. I'm overall kind of a half-asked cook so I haven't much to add to this thread but I will say... Root Beer or Dr. Pepper makes an excellent marinade for ribs, pour about 20-32oz in a gallon ziploc bag with a full rack cut up to fit (I'd also place the bag in a pan as the bag may leak). store it in a fridge and flip it every few hours, or let it sit overnight and flip it and let sit a few more hours on the opposite side next morning to let it get all soaked through. Then slow cook 'em or grill and and your fav BBQ and you got some awesome ribs. Works for steaks too. edit: damn I need to try making that salsa
  14. EQ:41 SQ:34 AS:13 According to these I'm pretty normal... However I'd argue there's a lot more factors to the psyche
  15. Holy shit, was it even any good at that high of an ABV?
  16. 13... im not austistic, im just paranoid
  17. If these were somehow released on actual VHS tapes, that would be incredibly awesome. I'd watch the shit out of them. Six, you should look into that (although I imagine obtaining the rights might be a bitch)
  18. Ooooh , was it only the 70 distrubuted in Kansas, or was it just fairly limited? Our store usually has a good supply of Tallgrass beers, I hope the boss got some if he could. I love the regular Buffalo Sweat one of my fav stouts. The Left Hand Brery "Wake Up Dead" was a pretty solid stout, not exceptional, I've had better, but nothing to complain about either. It's worth a try if you happen to see it out there.
  19. Got a bottle of Left Hand Brewery's Wake Up Dead that I'm probably gonna crack open later tonight, I'll report back with thoughts after I finish it. The bottle art is pretty cool.
  20. That site is aids. I had a profile on there for about a week to see what it is about. Not fer me. Fuck'em as I say. I've had a couple of good experiences, but generally the girls I like don't like me, and I'm not interested in the girls who like me. A little phenomenon I like to call Costanza syndrome. It's helped me understand my taste in women a bit more though, in that it's allowed me to tighten up my standards a little and realise that it's ok to be a bit shallow sometimes, especially since most girls on that site are anyway. I should start a blog about okcupid from a male perspective.. I had a couple good experiences myself in the past, one little summer fling, and one I dated/fucked for a couple months til she went all crazy on me. (which seems to be a common case with girls met online)
  21. I don't wanna pay to add both bacon and avocado to my Jimmy John's, but I'm not sure which I'd rather add...
  22. So I ended up getting this deluxe edition after hearing positive reviews of Criminal as a great crime-noir graphic novel series. I just finished it and holy shit, the reviews were right this is a great series, glad I bought the deluxe edition... Ed Brubaker is a fantastic writer and Sean Phillip's artwork is just the icing on the cake. Very dark and unforgiving. (If you liked Sin City you'll love these, they're a bit more realistic as well) I ended up scooping up Vol. 2 and the collected edition of Ed & Sean's other series Incognito, very much looking forward to reading them when they arrive. Also picked up a few Vertigo Crime titles (The Executor, The Chill, and Filthy Rich,) they're kinda hit/miss sometimes, but overall fun reads. Some of the other titles in the Vertigo Crime label are supposed to be better so I may end up looking into those eventually, they're fairly cheap used on Amazon.
  23. I've been on a huge Andy Stott kick this week, it's also been fairly overcast all week. Perhaps that's why... It really does work well for gray snowy days in the city. I can also see it working well for cloudy spring/summer days. But yeah despite the African rhythms and such the music has a very urban feel to it, at least for me. Burial tends to touch on this vibe as well. The wet noisy reverbs just seem to mimic the sounds echoing through the streets and alleys.
