You probably mean techno that doesn't have a kick on every downbeat (the 1st of the bar) but off-beat, syncopated, cross-rhythm, polymeter? The breakdown at 3:25, the closed hihats and the open hihat accents are just brilliant. Also, to stay within the confines of WATMM, it blends well with AFX's Elephant Song. Dragon Posted December 29, 2021 Share Posted December 29, 2021 (edited) keeping with non-repetitive or out-of-phase compositions like Flutter (as above) and Pule by Autechre the crazy thing about the 10-minute universal indicator track is that it's not even in 3/4 - it completes a measure by kicking three times, hence it is in 3/1 (or possibly 1/3). but everyone dances to it as 4/4 until the acid comes in...
