i think it's safe to say that getting a new Autechre remix is no longer like waking up on christmas day. Since the sensational remix, the remix ethic has gone from a hyper edited, total reworking of a track to a very subtle cassette maxi single style edit

Yeah, it seems like there's a really distinct drop in quality around 2005. I definitely haven't been taken with any of the remixes after that point, though I have yet to hear the Anodyne remix or this one.

Mostly agree although to be fair their Surgeon remix is one of my all time favorites.
